THRASHED! - Triumph Tiger Sport 660 - First Ride Report (really only a light thrashing)

Ridge Roamer finally climbs aboard the new 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 for a first ride to provide overview and feedback. Not a true adventure bike like the Tiger 900, this Trident based Tiger Sport is more of a mid size sport touring motorcycle. Loads of fun, amazing fit and finish, a great bargain, and awesome comfort.

My TS660 just ticked-over 2K miles. I'm a 35+ years veteran rider, and absolutely love this thing! My other bikes are an '18 Tiger 1200 and a '16 Tuono Factory. I often find myself bursting out laughing in my helmet while screaming this thing up & down my favorite mountain road. As a middleweight, I just wring its neck and let the engine scream! The quick-shifter works great, and really helps being you're always in the gearbox. You frequently mentioned the ergonomics and comfort. At 5'9" 180, this thing fits me like a glove. I swear the rider triangle (seat/pegs/handlebar) is spot-on perfect. You also marveled at how much bike you get for your money--I wholly agree! I've nicknamed mine "Cheap Thrills." ;-)

I have a graphite one just like this, with a few doo-dads. I went for my usual 100 mile ride through the Loess Hills in Iowa yesterday, and I had a blast! I've ridden a 2002 Trophy 1200, a 2012 Speed Triple, and a Bonneville 2018 T120 on the same rides, and I Love the Tiger 660. It's got everything I want and does it well. Lots of suspension, good brakes, light weight, and enough power to pass. It really handles very well, and doesn't give me moments of doubt when cornering, passing, or braking. It's an all-around solid ride!

If anyone is concerned the rev counter flashes in the film, during the running in period at different milage it flashes, increasing rev limit every 100 miles eventually finishing at 1000 miles .This obviously is a lone bike not run in yet

You can set any limit manually. Doesn't matter if you are beyond 1000miles of not :)

To all the commenters, bikes are run in at the factory. Brake-ins are a personal choice and an excuse for the manufacturer to blame the purchaser. A few minutes of spirited riding does nothing more than upset the Nancy's of the world.

As an off-and-on rider since 1955 (my first motorized bike was a 1955 Cushman Eagle), I say the First Amendment guarantees that everyone can have, and say, their opinion. This rider has his, and expresses his by wheelies on public streets. I have mine. My opinion is that idiots do wheelies and double-idiots do wheelies on public streets.

That's because you can't wheelie a 55 Cushman. I bet you walked 20 miles to school in the snow, uphill each way, while fighting off bears and Dracula's, gas was a nickel, the darkies knew their place, and you only got an 1/2 an onion and a grasshopper for lunch if you were lucky.
