Can we all agree that we'd be perfectly happy to wait if it took a little longer between videos? An 8 minute episode is awesome but I'd love to see 20 minute episodes even if it was once a month. The research makes this the best thing on Thrasher.

It’s so funny to me that the people who design and create these thing absolutely hate that we “destroy” their art, yet we the skateboarders are probably the ones who’s admire and appreciate their creations the most…..

As a skater who went to USC i would always pass these heavily waxed up ledges and wondered how popular they were. This is so cool to have that specific question answered years later!

My friend Tony Lopez was the architect that was tasked with “skate stopping” the plaza. He opted to add the gaps to give the spot a second life instead of removing the ledges entirely.

This series is why I subscribed to Thrasher as a new skateboarder it's nice to find out the history of skateboarding and the spots that defined it, I also like the Dern Bros spot history otherwise I have to go back and watch a ton of old videos, not that that's a bad thing but at 54 years of age I don't have that much time on my hands.

I'm going to say this every time you post these. *PLEASE* don't sacrifice the quality for the sake of quantity. If you can keep this quality and pace up, then by all means do it, but if it takes longer to do the in-depth research, I will be incredibly glad to wait. This is the best thing on Thrasher in large part because of the history. Please please please don't sacrifice it for the sake of a deadline.

We were skating those ledges in the mid 80’s . We lived near Hoover Park at the time. There was a lot of cool spots to skate inside the USC campus. We were young skate punks at time. Besides run ins with cholos and black gangs trying to Jack our boards we had fun times.

I used to live 5 minutes from those blocks. A couple of years before all these first videos parts were filmed local skaters used to skate there. Around early 85, 86. They were a lot of talented skaters a few before there time. Literally ollie the blocks, ollie out with flips , this happened because there were no skate parks at the time. Usc campus was not gated at that time, when students were out on vacation We used to skate the campus at night. There's a building there too where we used to race to the bottom. It's like 7 or 10 floors high. Best times...
