thank you for such a clear explanation. i have a learning disability and you have been one of the only people that actually explains things in a way that makes sense. i really appreciated this tutorial, because threadpainting is not something i'm as good at yet.

Thank you for such an informative video. I'm VERY new to embroidery and I like thread painting . I might be jumping into the deep end but thread painting interests me more than just basic embroidery projects. Wish me luck 😀!

I really appreciate this video cuz im working on my fourth embroidery right now and its for a gift. Therefore, I wanted to try to make it look more refined. So far im doing this correctly but your tips are very helpful and I appreciate the way you explain/ show it as well. Doesnt help that its a portrait of a dog so im trying to imitate hair and trying to lay the stiches in the way the hair lays.

Hello! Thank you for the clear explanation of how to thread paint. May I ask how do you attach the water soluble layer to the top part of your cotton/linen fabric? Do you stretch it overtop of the hoop or underneath or do you sew it down?
@crewelghoul9 ай бұрын
I just sandwich the stabilizer and the fabric together in the hoop! You’ll just want a sheet big enough to fit over the entire hoop ☺️

Thank you, very informative! I am wondering where you got the threaded large card or did you do it yourself? It would be so helpful!

It’s a DMC thread card! You can get them usually in DMCs website or Amazon :)

Do you sell your work, is there an interest in the market for this craft, I needle felt, so I would like to know before I start buying material if there is money to be made, thank you for your tutorial, it really creates an interest in learning this for me.

wonderful! i’ve a question, i’m new to embroidery/needlework and wondered why one stitches in such a way that requires more hands movement; in other words, push needle down into the fabric and then pull it down verses pushing the needle up and down and then pull thread through the fabric? it seems slower and requires more movement. i hope my question is clear?
@crewelghoul Жыл бұрын
I think I know what you mean! I think you're referring to stabbing vs sewing. It's mostly preference whether you pull the needle and thread all the way through the fabric and then go back up or if you stab or grab the fabric! There may be some embroidery stitches that you find easier to do one way over the other after you practice and find your favorite way!
