I have a thread stand, but I didn't know that the most important thing was the length of thread having achance to unwind/unkink. I've always had problems with that. THANK YOU.

Hesitate to say this but I thought your video was PERFECT! 😉😄 learned a lot. I do use the heavy metal one spool thread stand which I have had for many years. It works great. But I might get the big plastic one because then I can set out all threads I will be using in my design. Machine embroidery has been my favorite hobby for many years. I'm glad I found your channel!💕

Thank you for this video! I bought a stand MONTHS ago and I was intimidated by it because the instructions are minimal so I wasn’t sure what all the extra attachments were for. I love your idea of using small command hooks for better thread guiding too!

Your educational videos have helped me more than any others for learning so many things and I just love the way you explain so clearly to this 79 year old lady who only had a short home ed class in school and typing :)). I learn so much from videos. All my embroidery machine learning came from watching videos like yours. I have a Brother SE1900, a great old serger I bought many years ago and a gifted many, many years ago Little green all steel Viking Husqvarna from a relative that had a sewing machine store. It only sews straight and zig zag stitches. This machine creates is perfection stitches. I will never part with this jewel. I have the single thread holder and use it only when I have the large spools and they sometimes catch the thread underneath the holder and messes up my feeding of the thread badly. I even have used a coffee cup for a holder. This stand will eliminate All that...thank you! You convinced me I'm getting the large one. It will clean up so much spools laying around for color changes. My problem is also I had to tape safety pins to use the eye like you are using the little clips for (dah) me only thing I could think of. I really need these clips and will also order some today. Thank you again!

I'm glad you found the video helpful @sylviah1234 (●'◡'●) If your thread is coming off the spool and getting trapped UNDER your thread stand, you might want to put a thread net around the cone so it won't puddle at the bottom like that.

I have one it was expensive as I’m in the uk and it came from USA. But oh my days, it does make such a difference. I have singer XL400 futura, people moan about singer machines, I have to say with my thread stand I don’t have any thread breaks anymore. So easy to line up various threads for an embroidery design. Love your video thank you so much. I do use the black bits upside down which helps stops my bigger thread from dragging when embroidering. Have a great day and thank you for the info too x

I hear you. A lot of the moaning about Singer is because the thread path is not well engineered and a thread stand FIXES that. Even with importing the stand, you probably still paid less than a more expensive machine. That was smart of you. (●'◡'●)

Have the same stand but didn't know how to use it correctly and have had some thread issues because of it. Thanks for the tips how to use it best. I also have the HV Designer 1 machine. It is a trooper of a machine. I use a floppy disc card reader and my embroidery software, Sew what Pro, converts all designs to SHV for the D1 machine. I love both the stand and my machine. Hoops go from 4x4 up to 6x10 and 6 x 14. those hoop sizes in newer machines start above $2000 or higher. I got mine free!

I have two 10-spool thread stands, one that attaches to my Brother and one freestanding (I had not seen the one you've shown--maybe I need a third?). They are a game changer when doing multi-color embroidery designs with lots of shading (animal designs are my favorite) as all the threads are right there where I need them.

I got my first machine (baby lock flare) 3 days ago and just started using it today with a lot of random types of threads I bought on marketplace from a sweet old lady. They all seem to cooperate with my machine but I need to use all the spool cap options depending on the spool and can’t use the large cones yet. This seems like the absolute perfect solution! Thank you.

Yes! the thread stand will allow you to use much bigger cones. (●'◡'●) You'll probably want big cones of black and white thread - you'll be surprised how fast you go through those since almost every design uses black and white threads. Have fun with your Flare - that's a sweet machine.

There is a LOT of thead waste with machine embroidery and even more when using a thread stand. You can collect those threads and make thread bowls or other art projects with water soluble stabilizer. Most people throw away all those thread tails.

I have the same stand and I love it for my baby lock Pathfinder. I tried using those black things and all they did was get stuck in my big threads; those things work about half of the time. I do love that I can load all of my threads for a project.

Thanks for sharing that! I don't use those little black things either, but I forgot to mention they can go up inside a large cone and keep it in place if needed. Never needed that feature either. (ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)

Can you PLEASE explain how to use the other white pins/clip-ons and do-hickeys. I can not find one video or printed souce of information on what those things are for or how they are used. I love your videos.....I am just beginning to use my Flare...I have owned it 2 1/2 years. 😳

It would be a long time before I can make a video on those thread stand do-hickeys but I can tell you this @historyrocks5970 ... (1) the spool pins with clips are for stack-wound spools that must go sideways. I talk about that in my video about threads kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHukqnmOj8tnirc (2) The stand also has some clips with felt pads inside. I use those on RARE occasions when I need to lubricate the thread with sewers aid or something for difficult threads like wool. (3) there are clips with holes in the end which you can use to guide the thread to the machine. I typically skip those because they are a hassle to thread but you can use those if your threads are getting tangled on the stand. Where there other accessories you needed explained? I agree the sellers should include all of that in the instructions. (ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)

I have mine for a while now but i am passing the thread thru the hook in the middle..was i doing it wrong? Can you show us hoe exactly you pass the thread on the stand? Thanks

Let me try to make a new video or short on how to thread the stand. A vertical video might be better since the stand is tall and skinny. (●'◡'●) The spring looking thing in the top middle is a thread cutter so you definitely should NOT pass thread through that part.

That spring thingy cuts threads and can hold them there but I think it's more messy than tidy. It is NOT part of the thread path when stitching 😁

I agree with you Lucy...it is messy when utilized as a holder. However, it does keep the top threads out of the way of the lower threads as you proceed to the changes.@@BallyhooCreations
