The step beginning at 0:35 is not correct. This is not a thread guide. It is a thread stand-off. Threading the machine in the manner illustrated will cause the thread to cut a groove in the plastic cover, and defeat the purpose of the stand-off in the first place. Once that groove is cut into the plastic, it will interfere with the thread flow and cause the user problems (that is, if they keep threading it wrong by going behind the stand-off). The good news is, once they figure out to leave the thread in front of the stand-off, the groove doesn't hurt anything other than cosmetically. In any event, if they follow this video for the step at 0:35, they will be setting themselves up for failure in the future.

I have this same Singer machine. Look for a 120V 15W light bulb with a double bayonet base. Just search "sewing machine light bulb bayonet base" and they should show.
