I recall there were a couple of petition groups in the past that tried and convince Square Enix to create a sequel to this amazing and underrated game, but despite the effort they went to and the signatures collected, it fell on deaf ears. It's truly a shame too, because Chrono Cross and Legend of Mana got remasters, but Threads of Fate got nothing after all these years, despite all three games were part of the Summer of Adventure promotion in 2000. Rue and Mint haven't even gotten a cameo appearance in anything. I'm pretty sure Square Enix forgot this game even existed or it's highly possible they lost the original source code and don't care about rebuilding it. What's worse is Threads of Fate's true ending teased a possible future adventure for our duo, but we'll never get to see it. I can't even tell you how many replays I did of this game. It's still one of my fondest memories from 2000.

Its very frustrating to not see a remaster but I really don't think this needs one. As for my hopes for a sequel it goes right beside my dying hope for a Dark Cloud 3. Life is just not fair.... Also im not sure if you read some of the comments below but there was a doujin game called Duo Princess, Its from the same creators as Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. It's definitely not a Threads of Fate 2 but hey its something if you have an hour or two to kill!

@@balonatorgaming Truthfully, I would love to play through a remaster with some little bonus extras attached like they did with the other two games. Plus it would be nice for people who never got to play it back then. I'm aware of Duo Princess, but I heard from several people that it wasn't very good, and I have no interest in fanmade games anyway.

One of my favorite games of all time. Wasn't there a semi-sequel or something to this game? I remember theres another game with Mint as a main character and I think her sister, but I can't for the love of anything remember what its called.
