The History of Bape

Bape is one of the most iconic brands in streetwear history. In this video, we look at how it’s founder Nigo found his love for fashion through the world of rap, met other influential designers like Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment and Jun Takahashi of Undercover, the start of his store Nowhere, teaming up with SK8THING to launch A Bathing Bape (better known as Bape), and his friendship with Pharrell Williams. We’ll also take a look at some of the most famous Bape collabs (including Supreme, KAWS, and Disney), working with Kanye West, his decision to leave Bape, the launch of his new label Human Made, and much more. Idk even when these dropped in the 90s people were wearing BAPE shoes and sometimes you will see shirts, it was really popular, even in Elementary school we all wanted BAPE shoes, all the hip-hop heads and street wear lovers. Even in the video he says Lil Wayne was known for bringing it to America too and I grew up 10 minutes outside of New Orleans so everybody was listening to Lil Wayne back in the day, so everybody knew about BAPE in the 90s in Louisiana

this was my first introduction to your channel, and I gotta say that you are really good at doing proper and deep research, and are very good at explaining it. even just the background footage is still quite rare to come across, and you are very good at explaining things, that might seem complicated.
