Done a 3 centred with my apprentice a few weeks back, I done one and showed him and then he did one, he done really well .He may never do one in his time as it’s all concrete ones now with slips on but at least he has some experience with it now 😊

@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 I built a couple of rubbed and gauged ones on a coach house about 12 years ago , they come from lambs already cut and rubbed but still had to do the geometry and everything to make former and to make sure I was gauge and wasn’t gaining or losing, 5mm joints so quite easily done 😂 I think it’s been one of the worse runs of weather I’ve known in my time 🙄 I have the problem of no one wanting to get jobs dug out for me to build. Enjoy the time off then buddy I don’t blame you at all 😊

I'm not bricklayer anymore as my job, (well I always will see myself as a Bricklayer) but I still do a bit now and again. I would have loved to have worked with you growing up. I did work with someone with your knowledge old school for a couple of years in my apprenticeship, and the things they taught me have stuck in my mind forever. Appreciate the videos and I still pick up tips and ideas even though I'm nearly 50.👍🏻

Good stuff, Andy...really enjoyed that! Why has it taken me till I'm in my 50's to start appreciating and enjoying geometry!

@@jackrussell9811 so many bricklayers from Harlow in the day, loads came out of East London to work on it and stayed as it was a a London overspill.

@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 yes my dad was one came out of leyton ,said you could start a site in the morning ,walk across the road to another subbie and get another few £ a day and start there next morning ! after you proved yourself you could get a house to rent as the council were desperate for labour , they all went back to london weekends as there was nothing in harlow to do a temporary cinema and few pubs in the old town , great times as 21 year old bricklayer straight after his national service ,earned his £ and bought a house in buckhurst hill where i was born and grew up , love a bit of nostalgia ! happy holidays
@bricklayersworldwithandy62772 жыл бұрын
@@jackrussell9811 I only saw the tail end of that, I believe some trowels got a reduction on the price of a house if they worked on that build.I was in Harlow two days ago and we all know what it's like now but all them houses and flats still are still standing built by proper tradesman, it's the people in them can be the problem 👍 😉
