I am on month two of your coaching group. I have to say that you have found exactly what we need to do to lose weight. Many have gone on a carnivore diet but for some of us, just eating meat doesn't work. I am going to be 57 in May and it has been very difficult with a thyroid problem and my pattern has been to lose a bunch of weight in two months and then stall out. I firmly believe that walking and your TDEE and tracking is the exact formula that we all need. Thank you for constantly searching and caring so much about your group members. You truly care and I learn something new each meeting and with applying it, I am seeing huge results!!!!!!

I’ve been walking 30 minutes everyday, which is ALOT for me! I’m so heavy and out of shape that I had to work up to that literally from five minutes up to thirty over a few weeks. And my next effort will be to do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes on the evening. My legs already feel stronger

May I give you some advice Kelly? My name is Kelly too. Careful on too much cardio. I learned a lesson long ago, too much cardio will burn your muscle and you do not want to do that. Swap most of that cardio with weight training and your body will thrive and look amazing. After 30, our muscle starts to decline and bone density starts going down. Weight training full body 2-3 times a week and walking on non-lifting days is truly going to change your body for a lifetime. Weights are where it’s at. Too much cardio is truly very hard on the body over time.

Another option for people to start walking if they have any issues with getting outside, or live in a sketchy area, or weather is bad etc. I use to do the Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds videos. It's just indoor walking and it's really great for people who are just starting. I'd love a walking pad, but not in the budget right now. So these indoor walking videos you can find on KZbin are really great. Also when no one is watching.... I turn up the music or put in my ear buds and just dance around the house for about 20 minutes each day. You figure a typical song is 3 or 4 minutes long. Load up about 10 of them and just go to town! Don't stop moving, just wiggle jiggle and move your body! ♥

I’ve been eating carnivore for many years at this point. I came to it with the mindset that it needed to be ketogenic, so I was always putting rendered fat on my meat, unless I was eating something very fatty like short ribs or oxtail. When I would track, I was always getting over 80% of my calories from fat. Then after several years I just didn’t want all that fat anymore. I stopped worrying about being in ketosis and just ate meat, sometimes fatty sometimes more lean, but I stopped adding extra fat. Now when I analyze my intake I’m getting between 60-70% calories from fat. I also eat more meat, which is more expensive but also more satisfying. And 15-ish pounds have just melted off and I’ve settled into a much leaner body. Everyone is different and the same person may need different things at different stages of their lives, but this is how it has gone for me. Good luck everyone, and thanks so much to Kelly for all your awesome energy and content that you share. You’ve been so inspiring and helpful for me!!! ❤😊

I had a similar experience to you… I’ve been Carnivore for three years and about one year six months in, I started craving more fat and could not get enough. Looking back, I attribute that to getting to my leanest body ever, so I wasn’t using my own body fat anymore. Things have leveled out and I am about 65/35. This gives new meaning to listening to your body. I was never able to do that when I was eating carbohydrates.

I have followed you for years on KZbin, as well as other carnivore advocates. I am in my first month of coaching with you Kelly and I can’t tell you how much difference you have made already. The TDEE calculation was so important and something I have never done. My TDEE said 1671 was maintenance so I have gone to 1570 as my daily caloric intake. I’m 5’0”. Before while doing carnivore, I fell into the add fat, fat and more fat, don’t count calories, etc. Using sweeteners, Diet Coke and white knuckling it through cravings, and giving into those cravings, probably at least once a week. But since joining the coaching group, no sweeteners, some cravings, but they are becoming more faint all the time. There IS light at the end of the tunnel. It’s not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it’s a ribeye.

Started the journey in 2018, went from 238# to 180#. Maintained that until 2021 and dropped down to 167#. Since then it’s been a rollercoaster between 165 and 185. Falling into the carb trap, climbing out. Falling for the lizard brain lies, working hard to repair the damage afterwards. So I’m not starting at the beginning but I’m not close to where I want to be. I’d love to reach 140#. The carb addiction struggle is real.

Yes, I agree also. Kelly gets in plenty of calories, but burns most off through lots of exercise. She looked wonderful before loosing 20 extra lbs she didn't need to. Dr. Elizabeth Bright has been on her show several times and advocates that, as women, we need a small fat reserve for perfectly balanced hormones.

I think evaluating people can be difficult Maria emmerich also used to be very overweight and is now what most would say extremely thin. We all have a wait that we feel our best in and that we feel represents who we are. The difficulty is that weight can vary between person to person If Kelly likes the way she looks at this weight and she is healthy then I don't think we have to judge that. It doesn't feel to me that she's saying hey everyone needs to be ultra skinny but rather hey for me personally I like to be ultra skinny.... And that's okay Luckily we are all allowed to look and feel exactly as we wish It's wonderful to look out for people and care for them and want the best for them but it's tricky to not put our own fears failures and projections onto them We all want what's best for everyone ♥️

I feel like calories do not matter, if you have not lived your entire life with disordered eating. Some people can eat until they are full and stop. Most people with weight issues can not. I am one of them. A lot of the newer carnivores coming to the scene were never fat to begin with, they are just jumping on the train to try and cash in. It's sad, so sad, but that is the reality of it. You can promote carnivore, and never have been overweight, but keep in mind that people who have suffered all their life with food, are not the same as those doing it for other reasons.

Everyone use to tell me to eat less. I gained 30# on carnivore after losing 120# on keto. I now realize my metabolism was shot. I was getting 1200-1600 calories. I work out 4 days a week heavy. I increased my calories now to 1900-2000 and I’m starting to see a little loss. I’m happy with that. Blood sugars use to be high but now realize it’s cortisol from stress from under eating. Eating 130g P 130g fat and now sugars finally 80’s. I hope it continues. I have been struggling for 3 years.

That sounds so challenging. When I used to starve (atypical anorexia) I lost so little weight. When I started carnivore in July I knew I had to make it about being healthy and not just weight loss. I ate so much. Often up to 5 times a day at the very beginning. I think I get way over 2000 calories a day. Probably 2000- 3000 and I'm having consistent weight loss. I've lost 30-40 kgs since July. I still have cream and cheese. I felt if I wanted something to make a carnivore version of it. Like a carnivore pizza for example. I made some psmf (protein sparing modified fast) bread and made cheesy garlic pull apart bread. Hello, Kelly! I did your coaching group back in November and December. I have now been carnivore for nearly seven months, but I’m not happy with where I am, so I decided last night to give up the little bit of dairy and you just convinced me to give another go with the tracking. Luckily, I did set it up and try it out when I was working with your group, so it was super easy to do ut this morning. Even more importantly, I think I’m finally over the mental block that was keeping me from wanting to track. So. I just went and programmed in my breakfast, and I can see that I am eating too much. I thought I wasn’t eating enough because I’m rarely hungry, but breakfast alone took me to half of my macros! And if I eat two more times today….I’m just gonna have to see what happens if I stay with him my TDEE and cut out the dairy. This video is great. I’m also going to try to stop having coffee first thing in the morning. I’ll try to get myself to wake up and eat and go for a walk with coffee as a reward for after. Great idea! It didn’t feel possible in the winter, but Now that the weather is better, maybe I can do it. Fingers crossed! And thank you Kelly for ALL you do.

Thank you, Kelly! I'm on my last 18 pounds now, after starting carnivore 3.5 months ago and losing 28 pounds so far. Previous to that I was keto for about 5 years but struggled with cravings due to stevia and keto treats. Your advice about cutting out all sweet tastes has been life-giving to me. I have never in my life felt food freedom like this. I'm so thankful how openly you share your story and struggles. You are a blessing to many!

Hi Kelly, this video came at the perfect time. I have been researching carnivore for over a year now. I thought I can do this - it's simple. I did start in Jan of this year but fell off the wagon for my boys' birthdays. I began researching again and i believe I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with the info. In other words I'm complicating a simple thing. This video brought me back to ground level again. Thank you.

Thanks, Kelly. I have recorded the number of steps on a couple of walking paths on my property. I do stationary bike sprints three days a week, weights/resistance bands two days, calisthenics two days and walk when the weather permits. Thanks for the walking treadmill idea. I need one for next winter.

Gotta say, I cannot connect with 30,000 steps a day… too much life to live. It is a bit intimidating, I will stick with carnivore-it’s great🎉

First 20 again, as in second time because I gained weight on carnivore after losing it. I’m a year in and the carnivore honeymoon lasted about 8 months then extreme oxalate dumping began which involved gut/bile fat absorption issues, chronic diarrhea, eye blepharitis. Pork rinds and cheese and leftover volume addiction obliterated my bikini body which I enjoyed all summer effortlessly. This happened while I was walking, being very active with established circadian rhythm protocol practices. I’ve had to lower my fat especially at each meal, spread it our. Everyone is different. What’s really helping me currently both with the oxalate-damaged gut and weight management are weekly short dry fasts, 36-72hrs. Love them. Total digestive rest and no attention paid to food whatsoever. Freedom snd focus and extra time for other taska, especially those I procrastinated on with food. Awesome tool. I’ve observed that factors playing a huge role in our individual healing and especially the oxalate-dumping, are age and previous “healthy” diet. How long have you eaten mounds of spinach and almond flour, chia puddings, chocolate/cocoa, turmeric, beet juice, buckwheat kasha, grains, beans, nuts, etc? It seems to be less of an issue on SAD diets - you start carnivore and issues resolve and the dumping phase is not so violent. I’m 55 and for decades i binged on pounds and pounds of almonds, seeds, all nuts, high ox berries, roots, veggies and pseudo-grains. I’m grateful i avoided spinach smoothies due to not liking the taste of spinach but instead it was dandelion greens and kale and spirulina blended juices. I feel so grateful to finally stop all that and rediscover what health really means and feels like. I feel the best ever in my entire life. My lifelong depression and anxiety lifted the first week of carnivore. Love eating this way. Love the organs and the chewy gristly meat. The diet is a natural for me and i feel like I’m finally taking care of myself after a lifetime or eating greens out of a bag followed by copious amounts of bread and cheese and butter - i needed to ditch the bread and greens and carry on but the propaganda is strong. Don’t even get me started on seed oils. Everyone is TRULY different. This cannot be stated enough. And because oxalates are not talked about in the mainstream and oxalate-dumping is even more obscured, people are suffering and trying all manner of food tools to overcome the pain and wind up making their issue worse. Or they blame the carnivore diet and stop.

I think we have somewhat of a similar story. I didnt come off the sad diet. I have eaten an organic whole food plant based diet for most of my life. Rarely ate red meat. I have my own organic garden etc. What are your oxalate dumping symptoms? I feel as though I may be going through this now after being on carnivore. I kicked out LMNT 4 days ago as I felt it was the culprit to my insane sugar cravings which I never had prior. Once I dropped LMNT I began my weight loss again and some symptoms began to clear up. I do have so much acne all over and have never had this in my life. I am 56 and post menopause so not sure if its a coincidence or oxalate dumping.

@@onemoredoll5791 also could check for mould, i saw mikhaila Peterson vid talking about that, she began to break out and have gut issues, and found out apparently her issue was her "air" ie there was mould in house. I'm only mentioning it as I saw that yesterday

@@onemoredoll5791 yes, I’m coming from long organic plant based, garden diet. Skin stuff is very common.. Your acne can definitely be ox dumping. My ox dumping symptoms currently are gut-related from lifelong gut damage from oxalates- bloating, gas. This is why dry fasts are so helpful for me, gives this all a break. The ox dumping has been chronic diarrhea and messed up fat absorption, like I described above. Can’t do rendered fat, must be cold, ans in smaller separated portions. Too much dairy will provoke an ox dump, too much cheese for me caused eye blepharitis twice in one month. I’m more careful now with dairy. Calcium binds with oxalate and in the presence of a lot of ox can go to kidneys and make stones or come out. Mechanism accounting for how different it is in individuals is not yet known. I started my carnivore journey after two months of eating spinach and Swiss chard from my beloved organic farmer growing greens in a greenhouse during a Vermont winter. Those are my two least favorite vegetables, spinach and Swiss chard chard, but I ate them, because it was in the winter csa, all cooked, then I drank a lot of raw milk and I got the worst case of double eye conjunctivitis ever. It was horrific. My eyes were bleeding out of my head. It took me a while to figure out what happened and it started me on carnivore and I am forever grateful. I leave these long comments because by reading others’ comments on videos of Sally Norton’s interviews i was able to deduce wth happened to my eyes. It was a very obvious sttaight shot causality- tons of the worst offenders spinach and swiss chard immediately followed by a lot of milk. My Acupunturist was half right, blaming the dairy. These days i follow Sally Norton’s mineral supplement and mineral bath guidance and am rolling with the detox. I take a lot of calcium, mg, potassium esp in citrate form (and other forms to diversify) along with all trace minerals (not lmnt) and other minerals. I’m doing really well. I sense that when my gut has healed more as well as my relationship with volune eating, the weight will be less likely to return. I’m 55 and menopause started about 7 months before I went carnivore - i was 54. Barely any hot flashes. No symptoms really except for fsce and neck droop. Skin really emollient all winter due to animal fat.

Isn’t it great how dry fasting *obliterates* hunger, ANY hunger, incl cravings! I wish I never had to drink water!!! I only did 40-42 hrs but weekly I think it rly killed my IR and after a number of months, finally got me in ketosis. I get not great ketones (1.7 ish) even when water fasting. When I can get to 2.3-2.5 at least, I’m flying . No appetite (lots of body fat to convert to ketones), mental acuity and energy n mood lift. None of which I get before 2.0 ketones!

Hi, your experience resonates with me. I am 70, 5 feet 2 in.and have been carnivore for 75 days. I was 134 pounds and now I am 121. First week was ok but then I had what I believed oxalate dumping. Before carnivore I was Paleoish eating lots of almond flour as pancakes, spinach smoothed for my GERD, almond milk (bought and home made), and binging on sourdough bread and cakes now and then. I watched Sally Norton and read her book, so I added tiny amounts of carbs, with tiny amounts of oxalates to counter attack the heavy dumping. The continuous palpitations got lower after day 70, a week ago. The morning fat made me nauseous as well. I did fasting before the Paleo years (not the intermittent one, but the English 5-7), so fasting is not strange to me. I will try it. Can you suggest durations to start with? Thank you!

@@myzerocarblife We've become accustomed to seeing and excepting overweight friends and family that some have forgotten (or don't realize) that your body is what healthy people used to look like before the 1980's when convenient, cheap food loaded with sugars and grains became part of our meals instead of the occasional snack or treat.
