I love Alaska. Some of the best hunting and fishing out of any state in the union. Next time try driving up through British Columbia and the Yukon. Amazing scenery.

Thanks for the endorsement. It is about 700 road miles from Vancouver Canada to Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway at Dawson Creek, in northeastern British Columbia, then 1500 miles from there through the southern Yukon to Fairbanks Alaska.

Alaska is my favorite vacation we have taken. It was the last week of May. We did the day cruise of Pince William Sound, went hiking on the Matanuska glacier and did the seaplane tour of Prince William sound. All 3 were amazing. Moose's Tooth Pizaa was good and the Slippery Salmon Bar and grill was delicious. We also went to the science museum in Anchorage and did some hikes. When we went up Mt. Alyeska it was snowing, so we has snow ball fights. We went the last week of May and were there for 9 days I think.

Welcome to Alaska in the late fall. It's typical weather. And always bring another pair of shoes...lol. Don't feel bad about mt. McKinley, 60% of the time it can't even be seen do to low cloud cover. Great video

Sorry to hear your trip was a bit of a bummer. September is definitely dreary weather but even in the summer it can be a bit wet and overcast. If u ever decide to go back might I suggest u do a cruise. The scenery is truly awesome and u don’t have to worry about driving.

Just found your channel. I live in Anchorage so it was cool to see this from someone else's perspective. If you come back, come in July. By far usually the best weather then and go to Homer. It's around 4 hours away, but it is so beautiful!
