They setup on Shelby’s horse, is it a safer setup than a halter with a lead on it? I have a very lightweight lead without a snap that I use on the trail..just curious if one setup over the other is much different. Thanks

So yes and no. They are very similar, but we prefer to not ride with a halter under the bridle. It can potentially be uncomfortable for the horse and is one more thing on their face.

The best bit choice is no bit at all.
