Been using FL for a month, and understanding roughly 80% of what was done in the tutorial really excited me. Just a week or two ago I was still limited to using Harmor pad presets, and when I first watched this around 3 weeks ago I literally understood nothing. And now this. Thanks so much for the tutorial.

I love this channel, and your tutorials are awesome, but as many others have said already... Can you try making some with your voice, where you tell us what to do, instead of all this text? Just one video, and if the reception isn't good, text is fine. It's just that it's easier to follow if you're talking! Just please try that :D

could you do a video on how to install FL 12 and keep all your projects, recordings, etc?
@KriAsb
@KriAsb 9 жыл бұрын
AlmostOfficialPiano When you install FL12 you do not loose any data at all. In your ImageLine folder there should be a folder for both FL11 and FL12. If you saved all your recordings and project files inside the FL11 folders then they will still be there, all you need to do is to move them to the new FL12 folder, if that is what you want.

drkastenbrot The drumloop in sound 1 is from samplephonics vintage drum breaks vol 1. That dnb loop in sound 2 is from zero-g's firestorm and sound 3 from zero-g's total drum and bass.

In the video there is an error at 6:39, "if you play a C, it in reality plays F#" is actually playing F (check on the tuner). Respectively: F - A#, C# - F#, C - F, G# - C#. However, here the key of b, so F - B (b (I) (b-d-f)), F - B (b (I) (b-d-f)), D flat - G flat (G flat (VI) ( g flat-b-d)), С - F (f (V) (f-a flat-c)), A flat - D flat (D flat (III) (d flat-f-a flat)), F - B (b (I) (b-d-f)).

You seem to really like buzzwords. "Warmth." "Thickness." "Richness." What do those even mean?
@mu5icnerd862
@mu5icnerd862 9 жыл бұрын
+ShalMusicFX Thickness and richness means like a full sound and warmth means not harsh to the ears. I think. :)
@ShallieDragon
@ShallieDragon 9 жыл бұрын
Mu5icNerd And that's kind of my point. They're buzzwords. Subjective terms that don't really mean anything. "Fullness" "harshness" "thickness" "richness" "warmth." They're all buzzwords. It might be helpful to use terms that actually describe the audio, like "saturation" or "high-end content" or "stereo width" or "phase cancellation." Things you can objectively measure.

NzKya I am still learning Harmor, so I often start with a preset and then just start changing things until I have my own unique sound. Then I start varying that saved preset and build form there. They can also show you how certain sounds are all made-- if you want a bass, tweak these parts; a pad, then theses parts, etc. I agree with making your own, but creation, especially with something as complex as Harmor, can be quite daunting when starting from scratch.
