Always amazed with the detail you have put into this whole layout ! It must be quite an attraction in your area ! We have the same snow but it’s not melting as fast as where you are , we’re in the 40s today so it will help . I’m about20 miles east of train / tractor trailer incident in the Mohawk valley (NY) one minor injury ,it was a passenger train . Keep up the great work !…🇺🇸….

All credit to those who build wondefully detailed scale models of train areas with buildings and such. But THIS is the type of train set up I LOVE. I just like the idea of RUNNING TRAINS. I want a layout that goes places -- that squirrels would want to hitch a ride on. Great video. Great layout.

Wow first time seeing this snow plowing in G scale. A friend of mine ran his O scale trainset in the ❄️ snow in his yard. Yes I've seen this done on two other videos : SMT did similar on his CN diesel set in Ho scale in the snow in his backyard. Another channel diid this with CN by Rapido also in Ho scale. The sound system is amazing I loved every moment watching this i to am a Chessie System fan & CSX too. First time viewer & just subscribed as well. Video is well done. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🚦🛤️🛤️🚦

I really enjoyed the video, I have a small Lionel layout and run a train under the Christmas tree every year with a few lighted houses among the presents. We live out in the country and I have kept the last couple miles open with my 98 Jeep and a blade on the front. I waxed the blade for years but lately have been spraying it with Pam cooking spray and had good luck. Just a thought, I don't know if it would work for you but it helps for me with wet snow, dry snow works slick without any treatment. Jeff

I saw another guy with a similar setup. He used a solid brick for the plow car ballast weight. His worked very well. Something to consider.

@@stevekile1919 They do, I just missed out on one the other day. In reality we don’t usually get this much snow and I don’t always have the time or the timing isn’t always conducive to get out there and plow so I never got one. It is expensive but there’s ways to make hobbies pay for themselves. My trains paid for the addition to my shed so I could have a shop. Over the years of buying and selling estate sales they’ve all but paid for themselves. I started with a $3,000 investment and was patient.

As I watch these types of videos, I wonder how the locomotives are powered. Is it thru the tracks or does the engine have its own power source? My father was a big train collector and had a large layout in his basement. I know he would have loved these videos if KZbin was around before he passed. He made his last run 36 years ago and his hobby was a great memory for me. I have many of his pieces that I will be handing down to my grandkids when their old enough.

@@HeartlessHunter604 lol Thanks, 1, I’ll probably never try to plow again unless the conditions are perfect and the snow is only 2 or 3 inches deep. I tried busting through with six engines yesterday but the more engines I put the more trouble I seem to have. Railpro has its limitations on lash ups. I have 40 engines lol 2. The only steam engine I really run is my big boy and there’s too much money into it to be playing in the snow. I have a few others but they’re not Railpro’d so I do not run them. Some day…

@@NeeandMarie everything G scale is made to withstand the elements. The track in the front yard has been out for ten years, four years in the back. The engines are two GP40’s and a U25B highnose. All manufactured by Aristocraft, a company that’s been out of business for quite some time now.

I asked where the sound was coming from, and I didn't understand the answer, but model RR has come a LONG way since I messed with it back in the 70's. Nevertheless, your layout is outstanding! @@davidhall8874 Thanks, I don’t make money off my videos so I don’t beg for subscribers or anything like that. Let me see if I can explain… G scale is a lot like old school trains from the 70’s. Typically the power would come from the tracks and get picked up by the wheels on the engine. With as complicated as my track plan is I cannot have the power coming from the rails. There are now batteries installed in my engines as the power source. In order to control them I use a remote. The receiver is in the engine and tells it to go forward or back and beyond that I can control the lights, horn, bells and sound for the engine! The remote control and receiver in the engine are a brand name called “Railpro”. With this system I can run multiple trains independently or lash engines up like in this video! I hope this helps explain everything! If you want, you can check out some of my other videos to see the layout in summer. 😁
