Consider using a small fan as the start of a rotary snow plow. You might also put wider wings to get the snow beyond the loading gauge. Still, very impressive display of trains doing something real trains do, with similar issues trying to do it and good results too.

That looks like fun, a little " HAND PLOWING " Helps too. 😂. Does that snow not get inside the engines and affect the electrical motors ? .and looks like you could use an extension on plow to push snow away a little further from track.

@@stevesoukup3273 they’re made to be out in the weather! I cannot go any wider with the plow. Too many obstructions and limitations.

You could use more weight in the plow to keep it planted on the tracks better Cool video though And a rotory fan plow would be a cool addition

@@Mytubes6363 I’ve always wanted to make a rotary… I do need more weight in it but I was pushing wet heavy snow… not to mention the entire layout is under trees so there tends to be a lot of fodder on the tracks.

You need a rotary plow. Traction and weight wil only get you so far, you also need speed to make it work. Rotary plows use the speed of the rotator to fill in for the lack of train speed and traction.

You might want to consider adding a vertical blade to the plow to better cut the snow into left and right sides, rather than bunching up in front. I think you're wasting a lot of tractive effort on the splitting component of plowing.
