The tips for tensioning are good. I have been struggling with using 8/2 threads because the tensioning always seems to shift. I am going to try your tips. Your tips are always excellent. I have learned so much from you on my rigid heddle weaving journey🙏

Hoping to put together my 24” Ashford and 8” Kromski soon. Yeah, took an in-person class seven years ago, used an old Ashford Knitters which soon broke, bought more looms but then didn’t put them together until now. They should come assembled! 🤣

@@KellyCasanova i just wove a header. It's a bit difficult to see if I go over the right warpthreads with the shuttle, it's not a very clear shaft. I will weave a today, see how it will go if I'm a bit further up the warp. I'll keep you informed 😊

I’m planning on weaving cotolin kitchen towels for xmas gifts on my 32 inch ashford rigid heddle. I was told that tying on with the heddle(s) in the up or down position instead of neutral, helps with tension issues. I’m going to try that along with packing the front beam.

Hi Kelly, since you are focusing more on three heddles recently, do you think you could persuade Ashford to produce a third heddle attachment for their rigid-heddle looms? I have contacted Ashford with this suggestion, but they say they currently have no plans to produce one. There is such an attachment available on Etsy, but it is not made by Ashford, and it's not clear how well it would fit their looms.

Well, I don't think that I have any sway with Ashford, but yes, it is a great suggestion, particularly as more rigid heddle weavers become interested in 3 heddles.
