Each focused on outmatch each other to unify the realm (the clear dew) that they missed a larger threat that hid in the shadow: the Sima Clan, which is represented by the "mantis ready to pounce from the behind."

I like Cao Cao to, the one that came from lowly eunuch family to become most powerful warlord with his own strenght. (Not like Liu Bei that helpless without Zhuge Liang or Sun Quan without Gongjin). He doesnt need anyone to help him becauss he is so cunning, wicked mastermind villain. The best quote i like are "Failure is a good thing, it teaches us how to gain victory" "If a person want to succeed, he must know when to hold on and when to let go"

The last 10 minutes were stunning. I felt really sad for Sima Yi, as his ambitions leads him to murder the woman he loved and he regrets it so hard. His death scene, where he is deaf and almost senile is even more sad.

Despite his loyal service, Cao clan was ever ungrateful and unkind. Not even his own sons know he is. And of course despite their mutual love, Jingshu just kept lying to Sima Yi, and Sima Yi thus deceive Jingshu. Only Zhuge Liang was truly the closest to what Sima Yi could call ... a friend, someone who truly understood him. Is Sima Yi a great leader? Is Sima Yi a great strategist and schemer? Is he a treacherous snake? Is he someone cruel beyond all reason? One thing is for sure: he's lonely. He's always alone. === if only.. if only Jingshu found in in her heart to confess everything to Sima Yi... if only...

@@user-gw4kl8ft9u Whatever Cao Cao did after he unified China would certainly be better than what really happened after the Jin Dynasty was established. Because the Sima family had usurped the Caos, they had to essentially bribe everyone and gave all the noble families overwhelming power and authority. This basically killed any chance of for a commoner to rise in society and instead filled all the government positions with nobles. Then the Simas wrecked themselves over multiple succession wars and essentially threw away all their elite armies that they inherited from the 3k era, leaving China basically defenseless to the nomadic people of the Steppes. And when the Upheaval of the Five Barbarians started and China was invaded, they fucking fled south and gave up the entire north to the invaders to protect their lavished lives and avoid responsibility, leading to the deaths of millions of people, nobles and commons alike. From the End of the Han Dyansty (Dong Zhou enters Luo Yang in 189), to Three Kingdoms, to the Discord of the Eight Princes, to the Sixteen Kingdoms to the Northern and Southern dynasties (Yang Jian finally unifies China in 589). In a way, China would spend exactly four hundred years locked in one massive war or another, because Cao Cao lost Red Cliff. If Cao Cao had won, there would be at least fifty to a hundred years of peace. After that, who knows, but must be better than what did happen in history, no? I know empire long united are gonna divide and all that jazz, but holy shit, four hundred years of uninterrupted conflict is still a tough pill to swallow. Cao Cao winning is preferable.

Thanks for this upload. This is one of the best upload ever. The subtitle was great. I love this movie. They did not focus on love but rather the accounts of the three kingdom and the men that fought for it. Zhuge Liang Kong Ming and Zilong is my favorite character. I think the guy that plays Kong Ming in this movie is actually better than Takeshi Kaneshiro in the Red Cliff

G i n t o k i if Liu Shan was smarter and forsaw what Jiang Wei did to the state of Shu by depleting the resources of Shu for his pointless northern expedition, unlike Zhuge Liang which tried his best to perserve the resources of Shu, Jiang wei just used them all up to attack Wei and in the end when Wei strike back they didnt have the resources to mount a defense. Shu might have actually survived longer or even take over Wei if Liu Shan know how to appoint able Commanders

In fact, Sima Yi did not completely win over the army and the people at that time, and important generals and commanders in many places did not recognize Sima Yi's mutiny. Cao Shuang can summon troops to Xuchang to resist. In order to make Cao Shuang give up resistance, Sima Yi swore at Luo river that he would never hurt Cao Shuang and would make him an ordinary rich man away from politics. In China at that time, swearing to famous mountains and rivers was considered sacred, so Cao Shuang gave up resistance. But as soon as he gave up resistance, Sima Yi killed his three clans, and women and children were not spared. Ministers and their families (including many royal families) who threatened Sima Yi were slaughtered in the street like pigs and dogs. As for the sacred oath, Sima Yi certainly didn't care. However, his descendants later killed each other and finally were slaughtered by Liu Yu hundreds of years later. Maybe it was Heaven's will. In addition, in historical facts, the Cao family was quite good to Sima Yi. Dozens of people in the family were granted Marquises and rewards continuously. So while the Chinese admire Sima Yi, they also despise him.

I've watched this twice and enjoyed it more than ever. In between I watched Game of Thrones, and for all the money and hype, GOT is the loser. There are more episodes in the TK 2010, and each of the multiple sections of this EPIC drama was so compelling all the way through 95 episodes. GOT had a lot of so so, boring sections where the characters featured would fail to compel your interest. I would not watch GOT again. When you finish TK2010 you look back and see all the periods we went through from Dong Zhou's takeover, Cao Cao, thru Red Cliff, thru Kong Ming, to Sima Ye, to be in one series just can't be beaten. Favorite actors : Cao Cao, Zhuge Liange, Sima Ye. Bravo to sosicksotired.. to put this up for all of us. ssst is a HERO.

Thanks for sosicksotired's uploading, and the sub translation is amazing. However this adaption lost too many classic plots, such as how Xiahou Dun lost his eyes, how Dian Wei died, how Pang Tong deployed Lianhuan Ji, how Deng Ai raided Shu, and totally lost the Nanman plot... Maybe it's because short of money, but the most attracting of Three Kingdoms are kinds of heroes and strategies, which makes this adaption is not as good as old ones. Unfortunately no one add sub to old version show.

Cattail Actually no. Many great talents fought in the last few decades of Three Kingdoms. Like Jiang Wei, Yang Gu, Lu Kang, Deng Yi, Wen Yang, Zhou Chu, Zhuge Dan... just name some. This series ended terribly, probably ran out of budget.

The end was mind blowing, because if you think back to all the key policies that Sima was responsible for, such as. 1) Advising Cao Cao to build up his forces for 10 years, meaning Cao Cao will die with his dream unfulfilled. Notice he only revealed himself when Cao Cao was at his lowest after red cliff. And the last thing Sima wanted was for Wei to destroy itself which would make his ambitions impossible to achieve. 2) Choosing Cao Pi over Zhong, Zhi and Zhang, the others would've been harder to manipulate. One was very intelligent, the other was far too alpha, Pi always had a weakness for praises. 3) Encouraging Cao Pi to force the Han emperor to abdicate. Otherwise, there would be no hope Sima could even get his foot in the door. This show is amazing, I was foolish enough to think Sima was always going to be loyal (the historical version). In the end, only Cao Cao could've dealt with him, but he had no idea Sima was that motherfkin' patient. If Cao Cao had purposely showed weakness to Sima, he could've baited him and dealt with him then.

Cao Cao was known not for nepotism, but for meritocracy. He's elevated those outside his own clan to highest positions, even above those of his own clan. So... Had Cao Cao been observing from hell, and how he could see how useless and corrupt Cao clan had become... I'd say he'd approve of Sima Yi taking over.
