Im in between beginning and intermediate. A little chromaticism, 2 5 1 and alot of 6th diminished scale here and there. I gotta work on my arpeggios inversions and speed.

The key is keeping the melodic structure. A good musician like this guy still has the chord tones emphasized and timed correctly, and you can clearly hear the distinctions between the leading tones, arpeggio switches etc. I liked all of them equally

This is one of the current guitar trends that I just can't stand! The main difference in these three sections is speed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the first part which is a melody in its own right. The second lick gets faster and then the third faster still. This is exactly why all the Young guitar players out there are obsessed with speed. Speedy playing should be a means to an end, the end being a great Melody. To all you young players out there just know this: a great 8th Note Melody is just as valid and could be even better than a sixteenth note or 32nd note Melody. Speed does not equal better!

You have to learn technique first, to choose what you wanna play then. If you are not capable to do something it s not an artistic choice but a limit to your expressivity. It s like picasso that could draw perfectly detailed scenes and then dropped that technique to invent cubism. In his case he chose to do so because knowledge gives you freedom, choice. This video is intended to sell courses, make people learn, so this has perfectly sense. Plus, the solos were all great, last one wasn t an endless 6 strings sweep

All of them are good, but the beginner one gave a nostalgic feel, like if you were in a cafe, but all of them are good. Note: if you also hear the background music and not only the guitar licks, all of the levels sound better, there’s a piano on the background so it doesn’t really only sound like wrong notes anymore, so after that it’s up to you whether you prefer the beginner one or intermediate and advanced.

Lv.1 : Mainly about staying in the scale, stutters and fillers can happen beside licks. Jumps between scale boxes. Lv.2 : Can extend licks, elongate patterns along the fretboard and can connect them seamlessly into scale runs and vice versa. Lv.3 : Whole fretboard being the playground for your finger, now that all the boxes are already intertwined in your brain; you can start on any fret/any string and still make it "home", via many ways you've already learned and honed. (now you can curate the solo experience?)

@@AmilcarAlho-hj4feif that's the case then this was a failure especially at the end outside of speed everything was predetermined patterns that lacked spacing making it sound like scales played fast his licks were nonexistent in the advance level nothing stood out about it Actually it's on the same level as the beginner level imo if you know what you're hearing His phrasing needs work clearly The first two examples sound better melodic to the ears Advanced level not melodic whatsoever

Why did you use different backingtracks? There's no point comparing different licks if they are not applied in the same context. The first example is a slow bossa nova, whereas the third is a fast bebop. Why? It interferes with the comparison, not to mention that it implies that advanced players have to play fast. Appart from that, very good skills. Thumbs up!
