There is a combination of a tremendous amount of skill, careful planning and lots and lots of quicksaves. The landing at KSP is a matter of tweaking the reentry periapsis. What most impressed me is the simultaneous suicide burns on the mun. I'd like to see the outtakes on that!

It takes about a day to go from the Mun to Kerbin, so if you time your ejection burn from the Mun when the KSC is on the opposite side of Kerbin, you should get pretty close. You can narrow it down with quicksaving and trial and error to find the right timing and periapsis height.

You can tell by the lower rate of cinematic shots, that these three guys really kept him busy! Hazardish might be the most efficient flight computer, by the way ;)

@Buruki Kerman he does not, as you can see in the video the rockets are always kind of out of sync, also he switches between the rockets to try to keep them in sync as best as he could, clearly not burntogether.

This actually taught me quite a lot about orbital mechanics that I knew, but never actually have had the chance to see. There are a few shots where different accelerations are very apparent, and during reentry I realized you could probably have moved the pods closer together by angling them against the airstream
