We choose to go to the Mun three times in a single mission not because it is easy, nor necessarily because it's hard, but mostly because the end of the fiscal year has snuck up on us and if we don't spend all our budget they'll reduce it next year!

This is made much easier by the fact that Mun is tidally locked, if you use the same trajectory you'll land at almost the same spot each time. In one of my games I built a Mun base at about the same location.

Seriously. All those stages show how much you mastered the game. 1st landing shows you can create massive, functioning rockets with incredible delta-v. The last landing shows that you can create incredibly small but efficient crafts that can go far without the need of raw power. Great video as always.

I mean, on the last launch from kerbin, if you would build that and put it at the launching sute you might think, this is nlt enough for sure, but this man manages to pool off with such a small stage, so many quickloads and testing have been done to make this video... Thats why it takes him so much to upload. But its amazing, hazardish, if you are readibg, keep up the great work. I just dont knlw how you manage to impress me everytime, you should consider making a pro rocket building tutorial guide, because you, sir, have some really creative ideas :)

@aggroknight4259
@aggroknight4259 7 жыл бұрын
Bush_Man15 Keep trying. The first attempt at anything is always the most challenging in KSP, but it gets much easier after that. I've landed on Duna only 3 times, and while my first rocket weighed in at well over 500 tons, my third rocket was only 100 tons, with a lander that almost proved to be reusable.

His 3.6t Eeloo rocket was imho much smaller on the launchpad than the rocket used for the third launch. BTW it's even possible to go to the Mun and back under 3t.

Blub 01 Using an Ion engine would make it much smaller
@blub0137
@blub0137 7 жыл бұрын
idk. on one hand, it is obviously much more efficient. on the other hand, for one the engine mass is much higher, which really matters with such a tiny craft. also, it'd really only be useful on the very last trip, any rocket before would be too massive, and it's useless for taking off from kerbin again.
@MoominCox
@MoominCox 7 жыл бұрын
Blub 01 I went there and back under 3t kerbal included with an ion engine and the lander was not the lightest possible imho.

You must not be much of a gamer then or even much a driver. Its easy to over look things when focusing more on controlling the ship/ character / your car. Or are you one of those PERFECT players than can always READ EVERYTHING on the screen at ALL times. I bet all the CODers, Battlefielder, or any true gamer can agree with me there that is easy to get to focus on controlling your character to the point of missing important things going on at the edges ... like say fuel ... or that your the last man still alive on your team.

This was amazing! Had me smiling the whole time. Like: WHAT!? One stage after another I was skeptical but this was an amazing hat trick. Great job! Subbed for future awesomeness!

As a long time Kerbaler, my first reaction was as I started watching was "Big whup." You build big enough rockets, stick them all together, you can go back and forth any number of times. Then I watched it, and completely changed my mind. Great design, nice landings, and the finish was a total payoff. Big whup indeed. Well done sir.

.......and then I noticed at 8:00 he was cheating, dropped 500ms with no fuel use. Sad. Great looking rockets, but pathetic that your need for likes and subs drives you to fake what would otherwise be a great vid. Unsubscribed, won't watch your vids anymore.

I know I am a bit late, but if I understand correctly, he won't cheat anymore. Also, 8:00 was actually an accident. Oh, and he dumped A LOT of fuel upon re-entry, so it would actually be possible without cheats on.

@@egdod3750 Did you seriously think that it's completely fake? Just because one tiny fraction of a second was doesn't mean it is fake and the math still doesn't lie

Wow. This was all very impressive. And I think that's the largest amount of asparagus staging I've ever seen on a single vehicle.

Okay, challenge time! Get a Kerbal to Ike, then back to Kerbin, then to Duna and finally land him safely on Kerbin (again). One launch, no refuelling, no cheeky mining. What do you say? Also, amazing video again, really well done!
