Raising the hind legs might be a symptom of shivers, a neurological problem that slowly digresses, but the horse can be OK, but unusable for work the rest of it's life. Thank you for caring for and loving these beautiful animals in need.

Stringhalt is another possibility of the excessive lift and extension and I hope so because it's apparently curable. Stringhalt is caused by certain weeds that contain a neurotoxin. You guys a awesome rescuing these gentle giants.

Honestly I thank you. I never cease to be sickened by the treatment of horses. They are treated like live stock. They are not live stock, not by a million miles. Then they say they were as servants of war. Ok but what trey don’t say is that those horses knew their job and almost became protectors of their “rider” due to their enhanced senses. Well regardless. I wish I lived closer to come and offer help and support. But I am in the UK. A bit too far to offer a snuggle, a groom or a tit bit. BUT I am in awe of what you are doing and despite the harsh times I am so so envious and beyond grateful for your compassion. ❤

His name HAS to be Black Beauty, he has a white mark that is eerily similar to the horse that was in the film of the same name from decades ago, albeit he's a bit smaller. Once he is nursed back to health, he will look even more stunning than he does now. Love your videos.
