Three Nuts for Cinderella - English Dub

This is the actual English dubbed version that was recorded from the TV onto VHS in the 1980s so the quality is not the best. The beginning and ending were missing from my recording, so I inserted the missing clips. They are in the original language, but the English dub starts at 6:34.
This English dubbed version was shortened, as there are a few scenes missing compared to the original Czech version.

This was essentially lost media and I am very grateful to you for posting it. The dub is surprisingly better than I imagined, I doubt we'll ever see a better quality recording so I again thank you for posting this.

@@wcjbic ...sad that Cinderella have passed away already, she still had that beautiful smile. I grew up in Czechoslovakia and they showed it very Christmas "Three Nuts for Cinderella". There is a remastered version with nice high video quality. Almost takes me back to the first times I saw it on the CBS Children's Film Festival almost 50 years ago. RIP Libuše Šafránková. A spunky, strong, but still feminine Cinderella, the only Cinderella I've ever liked.

I can’t believe I have found this movie after looking for years! I have remembered the scene with the nuts from from my childhood and have always wanted to find this movie again! I would have watched in on CBC in Canada! So thankful to you for sharing this treasure! My heart is full!❤️

As a small child growing up in the 1970s, I absolutely adored this production when it was released here in the UK. The BBC dubbed it for a British audience but that version seems to have gone missing from their archives. I purchased a Czech version with English subtitles but that’s not really suitable for small children. Thank you so much for posting your dubbed version. It brings much joy and happiness from an era when broadcast television was in its prime. Merry Christmas 🎄and a Happy New Year🎄

A million nuts idea: Take the full-length czech version in HD and this English audio track and put it together Those parts that aren't in English version will be subtitled, and at the end where Kdepak Ty Ptáčku Hnízdo Máš is playing an English version Where Is The End Of The Blue Sky (both is sung by Karel Gott) shall be used. It should be quite easy to make and I think it would be a hundred time better experience for people abroad who wish to see this charming masterpiece.

guess what. I'm working on it. Hope it'll be finished before Christmas. Edit: I want to apologise. There were some technical issues plus I did not have much time to work on it and in following days I won't have either. But I'm determined to make this idea real. Certainly it will be done before next Christmas :)

So delighted to have found this lovely film again. I am pretty certain it was shown here in England two or three years running, just before Christmas in, I think, the late 1960’s/early 1970s. Great to have seen it again…..thanks!

I don't have the know-how to *take the sound from this upload and put it over the Norwegian upload "Tre Nøtter Til Askepott"* because the picture is great on that one but the dubbing is missing. (Norwegian version has one man reading all voices so it's kind of dumb nowadays when all this tecnology is avalible to those that can use it. And that's not me or I surely would use these platforms a lot more for sure!)

...I don't want to be a party pooper, but dubbing is not exact. I know that transliteration many times is impossible but there is no reason to change the lines like at 25:40 she says "Is this all mine?" She's not saying anything about magic in original Czech...at 32:38 she says "Thank you" NOT "And don't eat too much"....sad how many lines are lost to a poor translation...and there are more lines like that that take away from the original scene...

The dub is of good quality but the film is extremely abridged. I watched this in Russian and significant chunks of content - and context - were cut in this version!

Dubbed for the CBS Children's Film Festival, which was run on Saturday afternoons. The festival only had a 60-minute time slot. This had to be cut below that for commercials then a few minutes shorter still to shoehorn the introduction by Kukla, Fran and Ollie, which is why the first few minutes were added back in by the uploader without dubbing.

This is appalling! Dreadful picture quality, ridiculous dubbing and about 30 minutes missing. Who would settle for this?! If you really love this classic, get the Second Run DVD -- fully restored version in the original Czech with English subtitles -- the only way to watch and fully appreciate this gem.

the color quality in rhe German version is better… just my opinion and a hint…. Voice dubbing also better… just my personal opinion…

… yes, they removed some scenes. This is an amazing dubbing! Popelka’s (Cinderella’s) voice is SPOT ON! I wish they’d took the remastered version (better video quality) and dubbed it in English. That would (in my not so humble opinion) the best version ever!!!
