#1, All three phases should be on 1,3,5 or 2,4,6.....etc. and connected with a 3 Pole breaker. #2, The proper way i was told for the wiring pattern was Red,Black, and Blue.

Not sure if anyone is reading this 9 years later, but at least in the part of the US I'm in, we use black, red, blue as our 120/208 3P color coding

My understanding when wiring three phase all breakers must shut off simultaneously even on a multi-branch wire circuit it should shut off both circuits simultaneously

You said you don't want to disturb the black phase A .. you could have moved that one from the left to the right If it was a 3 phase equipment it would have to (shut of simultaneously) and since you have a single breakers 120/ 208 you can Land a 120 on any phase the only thing you can do is grab a voltage meter to make sure then count your phases .. If this is a piece of equipment it may cause some serious problems

Do NOT do what this guy is doing!!! For one thing, those gloves aren't going to save you. It's best to turn off the power to that Box, but if you can't, you better be very careful. It is wise to use that type of screwdriver, which is an electrical screwdriver that the shaft is insulated. Do NOT wire a 3 phase circuit onto 3 different breakers. That is just asking to kill someone in the future. Someone a year or more later wants to turn off the power to do something and doesn't realize that power as on 3 different breakers is in trouble. You want to use a 3 position, single breaker. When you kill the 1 breaker, you kill all 3 phases at once. I've never seen anyone do what this idiot is doing. You have to be careful about what someone is giving you directions on how to do something. Don't take a single source as your reference. 2,3 or more is better. This video should be pulled as it's flat out dangerous.

edgehead13 learn your color codes man. And as for this video you really should have a 3 pole breaker because you are sharing your neutral. If you don't want your circuits on the same side run a neutral per circuit which as of 2014 you have to anyway.
