I always start meetings asking everyone to share a piece of good news, but I like the idea of mixing things up. The weather one could especially good when you know there have been challenges for some or all of the team that might make good news feel forced. My favorite good news answers are more personal than work related (we got a new cat! my grandkids came to spend the weekend!)

Love the 35 questions resource Chris! I'm using a few of them in a session next week where I'm posing a few different types of questions from your list and asking everyone to pick which one they want to answer as we get started. I've done this a few times now, mixing up the questions, and it's been really well received. Hope we can get you back in for another company-wide presentation sometime soon!

Thanks Christopher, I enjoy your videos and encouragement for connection. Too often we are totally unaware of the things going on in the lives of our staff. While some people live their lives out where everyone knows everything, some people keep a lot to themselves and we don't fully know their situation. These questions can help us improve our empathy.

100% Warren! Especially in this Hybrid world where we have even less of the physical ques to let us know some one is struggling. A simple questions or activity is an invitation for people to share how they are really doing and see they are no alone in their struggles. No one should feel alone!
