Its fun seeing Norwegian crab, we call "Taskekrabbe", prepared in a different way. I fish these myself, and we usually just boil them in seawater or very salty water, and serve on white loaf with mayo. The roe turns dark red, so i have no idea why you got white roe in yours. The mixture of white meat and the red roe, is very good on a piece of bread, with lots of mayo.

@@Yourmomazz no, no - krabbe is crab, and kongekrabbe is king crab 🤣 Words, they don't make much sense. Ok, so googling actually tells me this: Sonny might be mistaken- brown crab is a common English name for it, not the Norwegian name for it. The Norwegian name is Taskekrabbe (as you said - I only know it as "krabbe", crab, but Taskekrabbe is its actual name according to Norwegian Lexicon). It also has a few local names I don't recognize, though one common name is actually "red crab". Why it's called "taske-" is as of yet undiscovered by my efforts, other than its meaning as "bag" (and also "balls"). It's proper name is Cancer pagurus (pagurus basically just meaning edible, which coincides with the other English common name for the crab in addition to brown crab - edible crab (🤣naming is an issue across languages 🤣). King crab, however, is called Paralithodes camstschaticus, also known as "king crab", "kamsjat crab", "russian crab" in Norwegian, or "red king crab", "Kamchatka crab", and "Alaskan king crab". And it's technically a crustacean, not a crab at all! Languages. Funny 🤣 Especially food 🤣👌❤️

I'm VietNamese . For Vietnamese seafood in general, I recommend steaming it with beer and then dipping it with salt, pepper, lemon, and green chili peppers available at supermarkets. At that time, it will keep the natural sweetness of seafood and will taste much better when cooked with other sauces.
