Can’t disagree. We do have some guys on the edges but the interior DL and backfield are questionable. Will probably be vulnerable in the secondary again and losing Bo to LSU was a pretty big blow for the DL.

Texas brought in 3 transfer starters at the receiver position and they have pretty good guys on the roster already. Pretty good TE(Niblack from Bama) too but I doubt he replaces Sanders production. The DL IS a huge question mark. So we’ll see but like he says Ewers should be much better this year. But, let me guess, blowU is going to be better? 😂

OU has either beaten Texas @ Dallas (OR) Awarded the Big 12 trophy (OR) OU won in Dallas and taken the Big 12 title in the same season (5 of their 14 titles)... But if you look closely at every season OU has either won in Dallas or awarded the title 19 out of the last 24 seasons.. Yes... the OU record since 2000 is 17-8 versus Texas.. But if the 8 losses OU loss in 2006 but who took the Big 12 title? Also 2008 who took the title this season? How about the 2015 lissin Dallas? guess who took that title and 5 after? And the cherry on top where OU loss in Dallas but met Texas in Arlington? Who took the title again.. so of the 8 losses OU was able to take the title still in 4 of those losses.. and of Texas 3 measly titles OU beat them in 2023 and I you want to throw in their 4th and last title in 1996..OU also beat them in Dallas..

So will see what Texas does this year...Do you know of all the 5 star qbs Texas has had since Mack Clown arrive in Austin? Do you know their records versus OU? The mighty Chris Simms was 0-3 The burnt orange god himself Vince Young 1-2 Garrett Gilbert 0-1 even the great "WERE BACK" Sam Ehlinger was 1-4 and lost the Big 12 title to OU and allows OU to basically erase the loss in Dallas..If some how OU can find a way this year Ewers will be 1-2 as he heads off to the NFL.. the only Texas qb to have a winning record versus OU is Colt McCoy which was barely a 3 star on rivals a 5.6....and of his 3 wins the 2009 title happened when Heisman Sam Bradford was knocked out of the game when he reinjured his shoulder and left the game on rhe 1st OU drive of the game on the 6th play.. But yet McCoy did get Texas the title in 2009.. But of his 4 seasons versus OU.. the 2006 loss OU's Paul Thompson led OU to its 4th Big 12 title and McCoy's 2nd win in Dallas Sam Bradford led OU to it's 5th Big 12 title in 2008..

The only place that we won’t see as much production from is the DT position. Losing Murphy and Sweat was big and we can’t replace the type of production they brought to the field. But the rest of the talent brought in defensively should help to bridge that gap. I don’t expect our run defense to be as good but I think we will still have a top 10 rushing defense and we should see improvement in the secondary.

You may want to check the roster. They replaced the WR room thru the portal with Bond, Bolden and Golden. They added Trey Moore and 5 star Colin Simmons at the edge. Content Vsaek is now healthy. As for the departure of Sweat and Murphy, we heard the same the prior year after losing Ojomo and Coburn. Their RB room is stacked. They added a ton of talent in the secondary which was their weakness last season. Those that know the roster clearly understand they could easily be better. They totally replaced the departures and then some.

@@pureblood3823 with a rookie QB who isn’t Dillon Gabriel, and isn’t mobile, that will be tough for OU to do. Plus UT’s new DC Nansen shut OU down in the Arizona bowl game. The more motivated team tends to win the UT/OU game. After UT beat OU by 40+ the year prior it was all OU prepared for all year. UT had Bama prep. Now OU has an actually difficult full season schedule to prep for.
