I first "snuck" in Three Rivers back in 1974. Never confronted by a security guard, mostly workers. I told them that my Dad worked for the Pirates and made up a name. Never failed. If you act like your'e supposed to be there usually works.

I snuck into an arena with this method. I was a medical equipment delivery driver and i pretended to be there to deliver oxygen to an attendee at the arena(State Fair) and I got in completely free. No one asked questions.

As a Patriots fan I’ve always been fascinated by this stadium! It’s sad that it has been demolished. I’ve always enjoyed the history and how gritty this stadium looked!

I'm a Patriots fan too and I liked Three Rivers Stadium too. Road games for the Patriots at Three Rivers Stadium were no picnic. Those crowds would get really loud and rocking.

So many priceless memories of dad taking me there just so I could check out the Steelers trophies (beginning with their first), and Mr. Rooney always allowed me to run around and play on that field. Edited for spelling

Since the 70's my grandfather ran the hole maintenance at 3 rivers. I'm only 13 and really wish I was around back then. When my dad was a little kid the other workers would chase my dad around the stadium and try and tape him to the support beams. My pap was good friends with all the baseball players from the 70's to 90's. He knew reburto Clemente but my pap hated him lol. I remember when my pap told me a story about my uncle who pasted. Charlie Daniels was singing the National Anthem and it was in winter so it was cold my pap seen him stranded outside on the field my pap walks out and told him to come inside and warm up. My uncle walks around the corner and says Holy Shit it's Charlie Daniels. Haha. I really wish I was around them

Wow. History. It all makes sense now. My pop and before him was gramps and my great great great great great grand pap George was scalped by Pontiacs in Pittsburg. Now it all makes sense how pap became gramps became pop.

I thought that was Greg "the hammer" valentine 🔨.....as a kid I the 90s I always hated how plain Three Rivers was compared to some of the other stadiums at least baseball wise but I really miss it now that it's gone. I can remember the ramps and feel of it

I agree, the Ravens are a great team. The Steelers-Ravens is one of the best rivalries in the NFL. In Pittsburgh it used to be the Browns- Steelers rivalry.. The Browns are now "the new Browns" and the Ravens are "the old Browns" Our hatred will go where ever "the old Browns" go.. See yinz in the playoffs!

I walked into a doorway at 3 rivers in 1990 that said "entrance for steelers maulers and pirates personnel only" or something like that. i went thru a bunch of hallways and got lost. it was before a pirates game. i found my way out but i only tell you this because the statue of limitations says 15 yrs and then you cant be charged. in 1990 the maulers had been defunct for 10 yrs or so but i guess nobody told 3 rivers stadium. if i had been stoppd i would of asked for mike rozier. wasnt stopped.

Was this late in late 1997 ? If you notice before 1997 the seats that moved were red and they replaced them after 1996 to blue seats.

You mean in the Ravens 10-or-so-year existence? More than the Steelers had from 1980 well into '00s.

I went to my very first Pirate game at PNC Park, let me you I wasn't impressed at all ! Trash laying on the ground in the seat area, In the ladies room,omg I've never seen such deplorable conditions ! Water laying on the floor,toilet paper laying everywhere.it was gross ! For a ladies room I was appalled ! And the odor in there ! NEVER again will I see a pirate game in PNC Park !!!
@shills26345 жыл бұрын
That’s funny since PNC is widely regarded as one of the best stadiums not only in baseball but in all of sports

wildbear6, steelers good in the 80s and 90s?! You must be kidding. The Steelers have seen glimpses of greatness, in the 70s and 00's. And into the new decade they've been getting schooled left and right. Their bitter rivals the Ravens owned them in 2011 and will probably do so for a good decade two or come. So I can I understand why you have the urge to revise Steelers history.
@xXTheDeadOne56Xx8 жыл бұрын
Yet you're on a Steelers video dumbass, I guess you like many other Steeler haters that comment about Steelers are just undercover Steeler fans, you all just don't want to admit it so you go & say shit like Steelers suck & all that & obviously you never seen us in the 90's, we won the division almost every single year in the 90's, sure we didn't go to the Super Bowl till 95 & good for the Rat Birds, they haven't done any thing becides beat us & then win the Super Bowl in 2012, other than that they haven't done shit, ever since Lewis & Reed retired they haven't been shit

One of the 8 or so bland, faceless cookie-cutter stadiums slapped up in the 60's and 70's. Since the demolition, The Pirates got it right with the beautiful PNC Park. Heinz Field isn't much of an improvement.
