Those things attack and move fast man! I found it better to dodge them completely rather than parry. Don’t be forced to “get gud” at this game as it’s not that type of game, the choices are in your hands and if you like a certain build that makes the game fun for you then do it! If you can when you beat the game, try hard mode new game+ with your build and see how it works! I’m currently running Eve with Impact/Chain-Type exospines with full crit% chance gear to get DoT’s off when I’m surrounded. Enjoy bro!

Try this build It is an Extreme OP build that makes the game easier to play - Exospine - Burst Trance type / Beta trance type Gear - Beta recovery level 2 / burst enhancement lever 2 / Beta Charge Level 3 / Speed increase level 3.

My boss breaker cheese is just suppression and beta exospines, beta regen and attack speed Spam ranged beta to down them, do a combo to rebuild and repeat along with burst which also downs them along with the bomb that also down them Attack speed let’s you do combos to better rebuild beta They’re down the entire fight and when their phase 2 animation happens I switch to tachy Every boss is easy as hell this way It’d be more fun to attack fairly but the game clearly gate keeps all the damage behind beta/burst skills it’s insane

I like using both the beta trance and burst trance exospines, it helps break the boss' balance for free damage

I feel like this is the only way to play haha beta and burst skills are super flashy and OP and when you build ALL your gear towards those two things you’ll just be unstoppable. Anything else is just to challenge yourself or for funzies. For example trying out a full attack speed gearset + reflex and chain type spines for a “no burst or beta skills” moveset

Plus I like melting bosses like the 2nd to last boss and the boss that killed tachy (i know who they are, just didn't want to spoil it for 1st playthrough people that might stumble onto this thread)

I’m running an Impact/Chain exospine crit% build on NG+ hardmode. The unstable energy DoT clears trash waves so efficiently, and if I need a 1 and done aoe clear I use L1+🔼 for wave clear. This game is immensely fun with the different things you can do and build Eve with.

@@superstatus2640 Mk2 2* Crit Boost, 3* Crit Boost, Mk2 1* Crit Boost, Mk2 2* Speed Boost(atkspd%). Crit chance with entire build is 50.5% when you fully upgrade the mk2 spines in NG+; I haven’t found all of the Mk2 3* Crit stuff yet but I will be exploring a lot more on this playthrough to find them.

Also Aid Drones are immune to stealth approach. Problem with Turret Droid and Aid Drones is that they will alert nearby enemies making them immune to Ambush in comparison to other enemy types who will not alert nerbay enemies even if you rush past them.

HUGE PRO TIP in general for the entire game: Always try to isolate fights where there are groups of enemies into 1v1s. This is super easy to do with the Slug ammo type from a distance. Shoot one enemy away from the group, and only that enemy will aggro on you. Just let them come to you instead of you to them.

sometimes you can ambush them from certain heights. they are a pain, almost as bad as sneaky guys who jump out of ground.

Stealth is downright mandatory. I don’t think I could get from point a-b (healing station to healing station, or phone to healing station, etc…) if stealth weren’t as strong as it is. 1v1ing every regular ass monster is to damn difficult

What are the secondary exo spines for stealth and ranged as well as the 4 gears. I've been switching between the 2 but don't know what's best to pair with them.

Go with whatever you feel like your missing with them. They're both kinda one trick ponies and don't have a best match up. I'd probably do Camo/Chain as it ups damage with combo 2+ so you can clear trash mobs faster. And range probably Eagle/Suppression so enemies stay down longer and take more damage.

That is up to you to decide. But for the tank build absolutely reflext spine always.

For camo it's really just to fly through areas without wasting too much time. But for range does any gear with damage boost work or does that only apply to melee.

It seems like combo damage upgrades doesn't work on range (chain exo for example; though im not sure if the crit dmg increase does/does not affect range on this exo) while damage sources that dont specify combos do (perfect hp damage up, low hp dmg up, double edge etc). Not sure if fixed damage increase affects it.

@@xGOKAI_SILVERx I think, haven't tested that much, the only damage boost that doesn't work is the ones that need combo's to apply and bonuses that say specific moves (like Burst/Beta damage). So the first tier of Chain exo and combo attack enhancement gear.

Thoughts on on the Beta Trance Exospine? 12% Beta recharge, 12% Beta damage, Beta trance mode where all Beta skills are free to spam. It sounds really good to Shield breaker at start, then spam Triplet to do a lot of damage and remove their Balance setting up for Retribution attack.

Depends on player skill. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone struggling with blocks and parries. But more advanced players can absolutely make it work. Though i myself am no fan of it. Through correct gear, and blocking you will never be short of beta energy.

I used Beta Trance Exospine for bosses fights together with Burst Trance-Type Exospine and it's useful for sure. In regards to Beta Trance it don't last for very long. If you notice it immediatelly (beta metar flashing) then you can sqeeze in two Quadruplets. If you are lucky enough you can chain Trance, but don't count on it to happen often.

I'm about to (maybe) fight the last boss and I see that you can fight Raven. I thought I did every sidequest, because I don't really expect to play NG+ with how hard the game already is. Sure, not "the hardest," but with 2 upgrades to both dodging and parrying and still having trouble (skill tree + exospine), no way I can do it.

As someone else mentioned, these things are pretty obvious if you take the time to read the exospine description. I'm a vet of these type of games. Beta trance and burst trance spines equipped, plus gears to increase beta energy, burst damage and maybe some extra damage or defense for the last 2 gears. That set up should be OP for any veteran gamer.

Like your first build on here, you dont say or show what the 2nd exospine is, you just change the first one on each build. Does this make a difference? Like what should the 2nd Exospine be for your build if you use the Trance one as the first one? wuold you set it as the eagle eye or protection? So like, which pairings would be best?.
