Starting from Wildboarclough in the Peak District I follow a 7 mile walking route I found in Country Walking Magazine to Three Shires Head for a wild swim. Then continue my hike through Gradbach valley and over Tagsclough Hill to see the distinctive summit of Shutlingsloe.

Another wonderful film Mary with beautiful camerawork throughout. You are so lucky to live close to these areas, Northern England has some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. The scene at 2:43 was absolutely adorable, where the lamb gently laid it's head on it's mothers back. The sheep are now co-stars in many of your videos! All the best and looking forward to your next adventure.

Mary, having known from my youth what a wild swim is and having not seen any videos from you for a long time and just in case you descended into the KZbin moral abyss, I sent all of the children out of the room - the youngest being 29 years old. I must say, a young man would do well to offer his labor to that farmer for seven years time in exchange for his ugliest daughter and a few one tooth sheep to be able to reside in that countryside. From beginning to end the back drop was fabulous and the sheep looked quite pleased to have a guest enter their world for an afternoon.
@MarysOutdoorAdventures

That comment made me chuckle Scott - so funny 😂 I can't see me ever descending into that abyss - although they do seem to get so many more views than my little videos🤔 No, I do believe being nice and proper without swearing or being too revealing will eventually pay off - it just takes a bit longer 😂

Is all of England that beautiful, or are you just really good at finding the most beautiful spots? This was a nice combination of inspiring views and really serene scenery -- plus the constant supply of endearing animals. I know it takes a lot of hard work to make a video seem so peaceful. I can always feel my blood pressure going down when I watch. Thanks!

There are some parts a lot less picturesque, but the countryside does tend to be beautiful. I've never shown any cities and very rarely any towns as it's not my thing, but they certainly don't look like my videos. I'm so glad you find my videos relaxing, thank you for your wonderful feedback ☺️

Love Three Shires Head (or Three Shire Heads, take your pick!). You were lucky to get it to yourself. Incidentally, there always seems to be a weird pronunciation of places with long names. For Wildboarclough it is apparently proper to say "Wilber-cluff" :)

Hey Mary, beautiful hike and the sheep were adorable. I see your videos and all this beautiful land and I was wondering if you have to be concerned with anything like wolfs, bears, lions, snakes, poison oak or Ivey, ticks or is it just hiking without any worries? I'm in California and I love hiking and backpacking but I have to keep my eye out for all kinds of things that could want to harm me, they rarely do but I still have to keep it in mind. Just curious.
@MarysOutdoorAdventures
@MarysOutdoorAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, no it's all quite tame here compared to California. I remember having to be be prepared for all your dangers when I hiked the PCT and it made me realise how straight forward the UK is! The main problems here are ticks and midges!

Another really good video , did this walk many years ago . Please excuse my ignorance, but is that a GPS you have on your jacket , i was thinking of investing in one myself , but wasn’t precisely sure how they work , do they pretty much work like a satnav for hikers or do you need to use them in conjunction with a map or do you possibly even require professional instruction on there use ? If you have already covered this in a video please let me know because I am playing catch-up! 😅
