Cool, I grew up in Klamath Falls, worked in Medford for a few years. Spent a lot of time on the Rogue River.

Oh yeah these 55/56s were dual exhaust optional and std. equipment on Fairlanes and Victorias. most of which were 292 cars although in 55 some could be 272 (manifolds will have smaller ports) That's a very unique radio! Can't say I've seen one of those! So that's where the hood went! LOL!! That XL drop top is a pretty clean rig too! Really well optioned, but surprised it's not a bucket seat console car. LOVE the console shifters in these. I agree, never understood the idea of A/C in a convertible either! Wheels? Centerlines... or Slotted Mags. 15x8 and 15x10s Thats what I'd put on it! @32:45 Hey, my new car! If you guys would have had more time I would have shown you around a bit more. That green/wht 56 Customline I have with the tarp on it has worse floors then this one! This will be an easier fix believe it or not. I'll have it up on my channel eventually.

Yeah that hood is rusty, I’m still on the hunt for a better one. lol. 1969 was the first year Ford made the bucket seats optional on the XL, making you pay more for them. In ‘68 they were standard.

@@FullSizeFord ah ok that makes sense. Areas of Fords I'm a little weak in knowledge, the Full size models and Thunderbirds, '60 and up. Dad and I were into the mid-size (intermediates), trucks, and (i guess you call 'em) compacts in those years. Nice to learn a few new things! Surprised stuff was that rusty out that way, always figured eastern WA/OR and ID to be nice dry solid stuff!

We have drier air over here but people tend to let these cars sit outside for months on end with a foot of snow on them. Water leaks in anywhere the weatherstripping is dried and cracked and voila! Rust. Especially when it leaks in around the windshield and soaks the carpet.

@@FullSizeFord yeah I can see that. Plus the dirt getting built up in areas and then gets wet and stay wet. That how the for needles and other tree garbage destroy the stuff on this side. Oh and now the powers to be have us salt the roads like crazy in the winter. You can see what it does looking underneath my 69 F100. 🤬
