Three years ago I decided to return to my home city in Russa rent the apartment and live there for a year - in the neighborhood where I grew up. And I couldn't help comparing it with Minneapolis where I heard shots fired in the street every night, where some guy was chased by the police and arrested right at the gate to our yard - with a lot of yelling, syrens and shouting, e.t.c. My home city is Krasnodar. It's smaller than the Twin Cities but still is has 1 million population and my district is in the very 'old center' of the city. I would get up at 4 AM and stroll the streets and the nearby park and never had to even think about safety issues. It comes to my mind that in the late 70s when I lived in Moscow I could walk at night for an hour and a half and it was very safe. (Russia has a law against private military companies, and the "convenient corruption" of late almost came back to bite the whole country). In the Cold War, we were taught to see ourselves as the good guys and the other side as the bad guys. In truth, both governments are deeply rotten - even tho Putin and Obama can each be admired for being highly intelligent and talented. It is the citizens who are being robbed (often without even knowing it, because these security states have been manipulating and misappropriating funds for so long). The paradox in Russia is that if you ask an ordinary Russian "is it safe in Russia?", it will be difficult for him to answer this question. Do you know why? Because the security issue has not been relevant in Russia for a long time. No, we also have crimes, but the security helmet on the streets has not been relevant for a long time! My daughter is 19 years old, last weekend she and her friends hung out half the night with friends and came home at 4 am, while she was walking home across the city with a girlfriend and there was no problem at all, I was not worried at all. My hometown is Zurich, Switzerland and it is interesting to see how large the gulf is between how people from around the world perceive Zurich and what Zurich is actually like to live in. For instance, most people don't know that Zurich used to have the largest open drug scene in all of Europe. Heroin was big in Zurich back in the days when I was a child. I remember when I was in 1st grad our teacher pulled a used syringe out of a rubbish bin next to a youth center. Later when I was a teenager I once went to a boy scout meet up at the national museum, right across the street from the main station and a junky passed me by with a syringe in his hand. I suppose he just gave himself a heroin shot and was looking for a place to dispose of the syringe. Prestige means nothing, it's all perception and has nothing to do with reality. I know this is an unpopular opinion to voice, but the reason why kids are being brainwashing and made to think that they belong to the other gender, and why a lot of energy is spent to blur the line between the genders in general, is because the "patriarchy needs to be destroyed". All of this is done in the pursuit to vilify/demonize, undermine and dismantle masculinity. These are the spirits feminism has called upon and now women get a share of the misery.
@_Thunderball_ Жыл бұрын
If you look at who is doing all of this it's men. Biological men who werent willing to go the defined gender route. I'm not going to blame them, being a traditional man is not easy: you start off with nothing, you have to work for everything: money, woman's attention, family, looks even to some extent (you're not born with a six-pack). Extensive emotional response, being weak, whiny, undisciplined or intolerant to harsh conditions is also frowned upon not for some artbitrary reasons but because those attributes are problematic in the military, which is a priority number one for any country. It's completely reasonable that due to those factors a lot of men end up in lucrative and leadership positions, because they're forced to compete. Destruction of the patriarchy doesnt benefit women, it only benefits weak men who are not good enough or too lazy to be traditional men and want the bar to be lower. Mostly to get laid easier.

It's been pretty insane, I mean being asked "my pronouns" probably because of the color behind my picture. When I chose it I was not thinking it was a political statement or something. It's just the lighting in my music studio where I record myself and friends; I've always had some colored light bulbs for atmosphere. Due to the recent level of insanity I changed it to something else and then felt like, "why should I have to change?" For the record I'm a dude, it's not terribly complex, I have a Y chromosome and cannot give birth. I feel like there is an encouragement to conflate biology with social identity. Until recently freedom of expression was considered paramount, now corporate censorship is okay again - it reminds of the 1990's US right wanting to take certain albums off the shelf or even further back burning books and records. Today it is people that call themselves left, but it is high status wealthy people living in a bubble like where I was living until 2020 (nyc), the only working people they know deliver them food or work the door, they have to pretend to like this billionaire class and their friends. So It's really high status wealthy people versus everyone else, our own American oligarchs. There is no more place for artists and thinkers who will engage in open debate and are valued by society appropriately. The pretense that we have open forums "here" but "over there" is different is pretty much gone and in my view it is causing confusion, breaking down what remains of old social structures but not offering new meaningful and compelling alternatives; nor a means of survival economically. It's a mess so we argue about gender as the ship is sinking.

Good discussion items, apreceate that! You weren't in RU in the 90's. There are two different countries as far as crime, especially organized mafia type of crime. Another thing that I have experienced in the US, it becomes hard to express one's vision. Say something like: I prefer traditional values and there is a chance that you can get accused of not being tolerant to some others, which is absurd.
@retroas2683 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say that Russia of the 90th and Russia of current were two different countries (like I wouldn't call last year's of USSR a different country from Russia). Those people are the same, the thing is Russia in 90th was experiencing a major crisis due to the fact that USSR was not designed to fall apart, which caused tons of issues for newly formed countries. USSR by that time was already in crisis and by falling apart Russia was even in more horrible situation - it had debt of entire USSR but also lost tons of industries it built in ex-republics. In 90th times were desperate and out of desperation they resorted to crime. It was not considered cool, but a way to survive. There are people who were bandits in the 90th who turned over a new leaf since Putin take power and work actively for the betterment of the country. Imagine a person getting something dangerous injected into their body, like a poison. If it's was a small dosage, the body could adapt to it. We got the full dosage, and our country in the 90th acted akin to a person writhing in pain and agony, casing pain by scratching itself and the poison causing damage to organs. That's depiction of Russia of the 90th. Russia wanted from the start to build itself to be like Sweden, but we were forced into capitalist system by USA in the most brutal fashion. But the thing is, we didn't go the standard capitalist route, we started looking outside the box.

Dentures are usually put in paid dental clinics. But even in private dental clinics, prices are quite affordable for ordinary people, these are not unbearable amounts. Dan, hi Brother! Thank you for trying to convey the truth to your viewers. Thank you for your voice in the ocean of lies and the sea of stereotypes! About the second point - security in Russia. In fact, Russia until very recently (from the beginning of 1990 to the end of 2010) was not safe. I grew up in Kazan, this is a fairly large city with 1.3 million inhabitants. After the collapse of the USSR in Russia rampant banditry began, my city was one of the criminal capitals of the country. Almost all young boys were in gangs, because it was difficult for a friend to survive. Due to total poverty, at that time there was a huge number of homeless people, drug addicts, children left without parents or abandoned by them (homeless children). Now my city, like many cities in Russia, has undergone tremendous changes, it has become one of the safest cities in my country. Gangs ceased to exist due to a significant increase in the quality of life of Russian citizens. Over the past 10 years, I have never seen a single homeless person in my city. The low number of homeless people in Russia is connected with the social protection of vulnerable segments of the population in our country. Under Russian law, regardless of the size of the debts, the court has no right to deprive a citizen and his family of the only housing suitable for living. Now, according to official statistics, a little more than 11 thousand homeless people live in all of Russia. On the third point - I shake your hand Brother! I hope that the moment will come when common sense will prevail in Europe and the USA.

Yes Im aware of Russia after the fall of Soviet Union and how hard things were. The interesting thing is Russia became better... Hello Dan! It was very interesting to see your perspective about security. Back in 1990-2000 crime activity was high, but it's gone now, thank God. In my opinion first reason is stable economy, second is work of police, and third is hard prisons - no one want to end up there. Also after this time people just want to live a good peaceful life, so it didn't create some kind of gangster culture, like in USA. It create gopniks culture, but they became a joke with time. Question for your video (sorry if people already asked you): From Russia I see many people in USA speak what their 2-party system is corrupt and controlled by forces who don't represent majority (Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, etc), some of them blame capitalism, some blame bad people in system. The only one I was probably wrong about is the babushkas on the streets hahah I did this in one take and I realized in my small town there is a Babushka Mafia Market every day in center of town. I laughed a lot on this comment.

@@Wild-Siberia Don't piss off the Babushki! :). What's your email? Def want to hook up when you're in San Fran. If I'm not working on my oil rig in New Mexico.

Share the Truth my friend...some things do not change. We have 3 boys and they are 100% male...never any question about it. I live in America and I'm seeing things that make me so sad, for some reason they are tearing down our foundations, but those in charge do not see eye to eye with the majority of people here. We pray for change...back to God, to the principles America was founded on.

I want to say 2 things: -First , all the people who spent time in Russia say it's SAFE and CLEAN . I swear, ALL the people say these 2 things. -Second, your opinion is quite reasonable and shared commonly. There's more and more europeans and americans who emigrate to Russia just because of the traditional values, values we have 30 years ago in western countries. The west is going thrue a moral crisis, almost a metaphysical one. Of course, things will be back to a more normal situation one day, but it will never be axactly the same situation than before. Never. And a lot of people influenced by social pressure are suffering an regret their choice. Don't worry , your arguments are reasonable.

Actually skid row is a lot worse now! If I could live in any Slavic country, I would fly right over! Plus I really like traditional festivals they have there.

Bro don't be nervous about "someone who became angry" as you said, it's their problem, not yours. You shared your opinions and your observations based on your own experience, this is important. Being Russian and being a gay I definitely can't agree with any sport related rules which leads to any competitions between biological woman and woman who was a man before. It's obviously can't be fair just from human physiology point of view. Also locker rooms and bathrooms definitely can be a very disturbing or stressful or even traumatizing experience for someone. You absolutely right pointed it out.

I didn't know the reality about Russia until 2021 until I saw a video president Putin said the best country in the world is Russian. I was laughed a lot of . Time is passed I saw a guy his name is Alex he is free journalist and politics analysis. He was in Russia walking underground Moscow train. It was mind blowing how clean Russian is this . Said he never seen such homeless drugs or alcohol addiction on the street . My mind completely changed . What I know in 2 years about Russia it's changed my life for good from politics war economic. In this war Russia involved by western countries and right now they don't know how to get out of Ukraine
