sometimes when I read comments like this I feel like I am on another plane of existence like, dude, these trailers for these blockbusters are all edited by template. They’re all paced identically. They all have WAY too many cuts for being as brief as they are and in addition to that are all WAY too long. They don’t let any of the shots breathe and they are overly reliant on music to create atmosphere because they are too insecure to let the atmosphere of the movie stand up on its own. I’m not saying this is a bad film - I haven’t seen it - but this is definitely a bad trailer (as are most).

As a kid I got enticed by a huge book I had in my home book shelf of the one thousand and one nights, one of my favorite books of all time. This movie scratched that itch I always had for fantastical stories like that. Something different and refreshing, well written and acted. It had so many things not said but shown which is something more and more absent in the entertainment industry because it casts away bigger audiences making them confuse or not being able to understand things due to their lack of education, which translates in less money earned for producers and studios. The movie is filled with metaphores, philosophy and art as glimpses or a recopilation of the nature of stories and the human need for them. For people that have knowledge or interest about these subjects this movie will be so enjoyable to watch. Totally recommended!

It's getting very mixed to middling reviews which is interesting because I loved it especially the last act but I can easily see how people would find it challenging. This doesn't have the structure of most movies and it makes it very unique. This is a cool trailer but the tone of the film is so much different than what this trailer presents.

I don't know what movie you saw but we did not see the same movie. It was slow, the dialogue was forced and awful. It was a 1.5 hour movie that felt like a 3 hour movie. I would not recommend this to anyone. The trailer literally shows you every part of CGI in the movie and not the 45 mins spend on one scene in one room. TBH the trailer was a bait and switch. If you want an incredible slow paced semi-love story this might be your movie. I didn't find the movie challenging at all. Its simplistic if anything...(spoiler alert) wow single old spinster white woman who put work first her whole life craves loves and attention and eventually forces a genie she finds to love her though a wish, but its hollywood so we will throw an environmental twist in there and say that all the EMF and WIFI human have created killed him.

Thank you so much for this because I’ve felt like no one else has been saying anything else good about it online but honestly I loved it. I feel like movie was written like a great novel, where every word seems well thought out and purposeful. To me, the movie felt like a moving metaphor, where everything has meaning , but it isn’t done in a preachy or annoying way. This movie is honestly my favorite of the year, barely beating out Bullettrain, which I saw 2 and a half times and would really recommend because it’s a really fun 2 and half hour comedy/action/thriller, but this movie feels like a historical, philosophical, magic/love story that is honestly perfect in my opinion, despite a few less than perfect graphics and maybe but I can’t think of anytime when watching it that I wasnt Interesting in what was going on besides a scene or two seeming alittle lengthy but the film feels so thought out that i probably overlooked something. If you enter the movie from the perspective of a person who has forgotten the magical feeling of passion , or being in love, and who remembers and finds purpose and happiness again.

Having seen the movie in it's entirety, I can definitely say this is one heck of a well edited trailer. The music, the chosen clips and how they're all edited together is fantastic. Really good and original movie as well! Very though-provoking. If you want something new but still has the same amount of special effects and pruduction value a common blockbuster movie has, then give this a try!

Tilda Swinton is hands down if not the, one of the biggest and greatest actresses ever. She's absolutely stunning wherever she appears. Her presence is commanding respect and awe. She is mesmerizing. Every single role, no matter how small it is. One the one hand I feel she deserves worldwide recognition of the magnitudes of actors like Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and Anthony Hopkins but on the other hand, maybe she's such a great actress exactly because she isn't that famous. I love her, the fact she exists and her acting for bringing me insipiration and aspiration.

This is one of the best trailers of a movie I’ve seen in a while. Most trailers have such blatantly obvious rhetorical devices and not only that they make it incredibly clear sometimes that certain characters are for certain demographics as if we are monkey’s who get excited when we see a creature similar to us on a shiny surface. Unlike those movies where the marketing seems to overpower to art this trailer gives me hope for the movie
@frostfang12 жыл бұрын
Opposite to me. Trailer feels all about "marketing to the youth" despite the movies theme being more about experience and about talking and stories.

Oh wow. Well everything everywhere is the biggest surprise hit of this year and A24's highest grosser. And wasn't that movie also a fantasy drama on the way of life and relationships/bonding??? This film looks even trippier but hopefully it can emulate that movie's success and grow through word of mouth. I saw some news articles saying this is the first Oscar contender of the year and I'm like you just skipped EEATO seriously? But after seeing this movie, how was Tilda and Idris' performances? Are they Oscar nomination worthy or is this a Mad max fury road kind of situation where everything else will be nominated except for the actors?

One of the rare instances where the movie was great, but the tailer was a master piece that implied a whole other movie. This trailer makes the movie seem sureal and action packed, like alice in wonderland. I was so stoked to see the movie this trailer was about that it sabotaged the wonderful love story that is the actual movie. I still long for the parnasian odysey implied by the trailer, but the love story is not to be missed either.
