Yes, they (skinwalkers) do whistle. I work on an Native casino. I leave b4 even the sun does. Walking to my car, you hear whistling. But out n2 the dark areas. Outside the limits of the Casino. I look that way but oddly enough, sounds like it's coming from all around you. It is hard to explain here. But it's the truth. So I cover myself w ashes. Or even a blessed Oil. And pray b4 leaving. That helps me. Just one of the few things that happens around here.

Before you get into this, let me explain skinwalkers. Skinwalkers are a cross between a spirit, a dark shaman, and a vampire in some ways. They were once human, but decided to embrace evil in order to gain power or kill someone they were enemies of. Humans who are going to become skinwalkers must perform a series of feats. They have to embrace evil, learn black magic in the most tribal traditions, and then kill the family member that they love the most in life to become a skinwalker. Once they kill that family member they complete the transformation and become a skinwalker. In Native people's religions, there isn't a central evil, there are alot of evil entities that are supernatural but no devil figure. Any of these evil entities can grant the power of a skinwalker, and there is no redemption you remain a skinwalker forever and can never die. This is a horrible process just as it's a horrible result because the skinwalker can never again be with his human family or lovers, they cut all ties by killing the one family member they love the most.
@CruisnChris
@CruisnChris 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry if this is a silly question but do skinwalkers sleep? Also if they have all this power and can't die. Why sneak around in the dark so much? Why just take who they want at anytime if they can't die.

Pro-tip for campers in AZ forests: If you see something big enough that you're 100% sure it's a bear (but not a bigfoot, cuz it's on all 4's) BUT it doesn't act/move like a bear... ...it's a cow. Tucked into the deepest national forests are dozens of tiny "towns" sprinkled with free roaming cows. Usually solid black, and incredibly nosey, so lol enjoy massive dark shapes nudging into your tents at 2am X'D

My experience with skinwalkers came out of nowhere. As a kid I had no idea what an alien was but for some reason i started to have these very consistent dreams. The dream always started with my mom asking me to take out the trash and it would always be 12:00am when she asked me to do this and for some reason I would always think "it's midnight! That means alien's" so I would suck it up and take the trash out and eventually I would feel a sinking feeling in my gut and It somehow told me where to look. I would see a ufo and it would take me and that was the end of my dream everytime. So now in real life I started to obsess about alien's. So one night I woke up feeling thirsty and I decided to get a glass of water. My eyes were adjusted to the dark living room that I shared with my older brother and so I didn't bother to turn the lights on because I didn't wanna wake him up. As I was walking back to the living room I heard the sound of a kitchen knife being sharpened by a sharpening rod and it started to accelerate to a ridiculously high speed. My VCR flashing 12:00 on it was the only light source that was supposed to be in the living room but I saw something else. 2 glowing orbs the size of a cantaloupe hovered low above where the coffee table should have been and so since I didn't believe it was real I started to walk towards it with my hand reaching out while saying my brothers name. After I got too close they disappeared. Not too long after that encounter I had that same dream again but instead of being picked up the ship landed on the road in the front of my yard and this tall/skinny black figure came out and picked me up by my throat and said "if you tell anyone I'll kill you" I know that me being alive might contradict my story but I've had a uniquely fucked up life and all I think about these days is killing myself. I hope you enjoyed my skinwalkers story. The reason I call this thing a skinwalker is because I saw this skinwalker ranch documentary on Hulu and their stories lined up with mine. It actually reignited my curiosity for alien's because of the connection that it made with me.

It would seem to me that the second person cursed themselves. The ritual they did must have bound this thing to her. She needs to go to a Shaman and banish and bind this thing away from her. Edit And the third story Natives have an epidemic of alcoholism. The Colonists got the Natives addicted on purpose to keep them under control. The effects are still felt today. It was very foolish for that Native kid to lead them to a place when he's never shot a gun before. He should know better. I have also heard that they are taking the forms of dogs rather than wolves now. Weird.

@@Cuban20 The part about the native boy makes me suspicious truth be told. Even idiots hyped up on alcohol would know better than to intentionally find a skinwalker. Then again addiction is a pretty bad thing. And you're right, alcohol is one of the worst epidemics to hit native societies. I agree with what you said. And the person using a ritual to call this shit to herself is suicidal and stupid.

I learned and heard of ski walkers since I was a child. My family were Native American and Spanish descendant folklore was passed on! When spoke and shared I was laughed at! I once had an experience seeing a owl with eyes that became bright red size of tennis balls. Every one immediately said it was a witch (skinwalker) not called by that name but called a Witch at that time. I was happy when I moved away from the Southwest. We never desired to encounter such an entity which is evil. I’m a Christian an believe that the Holy Spirit of Christ protects me! I always got the creeps when being in the Southwest because of all the folklore, I’m thankful for my new life in Christ!

That's what they all say until their friend makes them go to the forest with them on a camping trip and as they're asleep, your friend screams and you go to look for them as you find they're missing, being alone and worried about your friend, you go out looking for them just to find them dead and perched on a big tree and when you look down, you see a shadowy figure in the shape of an animal as it's night and you can't see well then you see glowing eyes coming towards you rustling the bushes by the tree and you clearly see what looks like a wolf on it's hind legs approaching you, which makes you scream out in terror and then the creature runs away but as a wolf should, when you go to checkout your friend after being so scared that you froze up, you find no claw marks on their body indicating that it wasn't a wolf like what you previously saw run away, you find stab marks instead like a human chopped them up. Then it adds up but you're in super disbelief still as you think that monsters don't exist still. Then you are deserted and scared as you must spend 50 days in the wilderness alone night and day until some other campers find you and with them being fresh and new, they have food and their car, seeing you starving and scared, the couple takes you to a town in which you eat all the food you can and they question you on what happened, you tell them but they call you crazy and say you must've been so hungry that you imagined the monster but you ask them "What about my friend who died by stabs clearly". They answer to you "It was a normal wolf that killed your friend" but you know what you saw... you know exactly the sort of hind legged humanoid wolf figure run off like it was a normal wolf, but you know what you saw as you weren't hungry at that point, you know what you saw, their hardheaded ignorance start putting into your head that maybe... as you live after that you're left with the urge to kill yourself but you don't for some appearent reason, and you must travel all the way back home without your best friend who you saw die to a beast everyone thinks is fake and overtime, you think you're crazy but you know what you saw, you have no family as you don't know your uncles or aunts and your parents died, you have no spouse or children, it was only you and your best friend. You didn't believe in the beast but you found out the hard way, disbelief is a form of underestimation leaving you vulnerable, then you realize that your best friend was a christian which makes you start thinking, "Is God real then?" from how lost you are at this point, and you think the best way to honor your best friend is to become what he was, you must find the undeniable proof that God is real and carry on what he was devoted to, but you find no evidence one bit in the existence of God, besides one factor stopping you from not believing in him too, you read the bible whilst all that seems fake, there's a line that opens your atheistic mind to possibilities beyond your 1D mind of "It's just us and science", "You live by faith alone in the Lord" or something of that and that makes you think "What if there isn't supposed to be any evidence because the true folks, are those who love you though it's debatable on if you exist or something like that and you live out the rest of your mortal life christian and see why your friend may have believed or not and now you are not surprised by much and live by caution of mythological beings existing.
