Henry and I (his Dad) go for frequent walks around the neighborhood. I started teaching him what each of the car logos meant, and he picked it up quickly. From there, we printed some flash cards to help him learn, and he learned so fast I printed every car brand I could think of.
This actually isn't a result of repeated drilling or anything so sinister, this is about his 6th or 7th time running through all of these at the most (and his 3rd time running through the tech brands). He is hyperlexic, and really loves his letters and numbers. He learned to read before his was three, and is long beyond sight words and into full reading. He can do the full alphabet backwards faster than I can do it forwards. He can count to 350 (the highest we've gone, I'm sure he could keep going), and can do basic arithmetic. He can count to 10 in spanish, french, and German. He can navigate a cellphone, texting and calling people he wants to speak to, googling or wiki'ing things that he wants to learn about (I found "poop" open on my browser once). The most surprising thing to us when he learned the Cyrillic alphabet on his own from watching KZbin videos...he knew the whole thing before we found out!!!

When I was three my dad loved cars and I followed his passion, he did not force me to follow his passion. I followed it naturally, and in daycare I could remember all the license plates of the cars and the car brand and I used fridge magnets to write them all down. To this day I still love cars, I don't know why but it's just one of my many passions I've followed for almost my entire life.

i can see my younger self in this child as my sister 8 years older of age, once finding out she's gonna be a sister wanted to teach me things once i reach a certain age, able to learn so she sat me one day, took a phone book and showed me the advertisments like car dealers,repair shops that had the car logos on them, i'd memorise and whenever i was either with my mother or grandmother i'd name every car brand i see years later, i research the cars myself now? i can name any car i see perhaps my present could become this young lad's future

Started doing make and model around 8, then make, model, and trim level around 10, lastly all that plus manufacturer options around 12/13. Now at 14 I have a very broad range of options, standard features, and knowledge of use from Audi all the way to Volkswagen.
