I'm going on my second year alone in Apachie County. I have been practicing permaculture and this year I able to dryland farm wheat and lentil.For animals I have quail. For gardens I have hydroponics because it never fails.

Obviously you are thriving. Its amazing what 1 determined person can accomplish. Out of your acomplishments, what has been your favorite? Or which has made the largest impact? My guess has got to be the amount of water you have collected in the desert. We are also growing goji berries, both black and red. I am looking forward to trying them fresh. Thinking of them as a cash crop since people are willing to pay so much for them.

Generally, the rain water harvesting and storing system. I had 1 berry so far lol. I'm sure I tried it way to early because it tasted like a bitter tomatoe.

I searched all of the U.S for the best place for me. I would do the same today and could wind up anywhere. No matter where you go there will be hurdles so It boils down to getting a good deal on land located where it will work for you.
