Living in the Philippines is not for everyone but for those Filipinos as always when they retired they went back to the Philippines because the life in the Philippines is too far to compare than living in the foreign land. As planned when i retire early since I have only 2 more years and 4 months to wait then i will leave the USA. I like to live in the province where my parents lived and the property is facing the ocean which is very peaceful and quiet with fresh air , fresh seafoods and fresh vegetables plus with coconut trees, and banana trees around the property. Im looking forward to go home and experience a life in the Philippines.

Just found your channel. I enjoyed your post today. I've been coming to the Philippines since 2007. I'm also a friend of Enrique. Met him years ago in Cebu. I live in northern cebu with my wife. I love my life here in the Philippines. I love the family atmosphere here. I found a good woman and we dated over eight years before I asked her to marry me. Been married now four years. My first marriage. She has a large family and I love them all. We built a house here on her parents property overlooking the Cebu Strait. Great story, I really enjoyed listening to you I look forward to checking out your other videos.

Hello Mark. I really enjoyed your story. Your honesty is admirable and helpful. I am 62, healthy, fit and retired. I have a decent retirement, not a lot, but enough. I myself just finished a two year long typical USA gold-digger divorce. I am getting ready to make a trip to the Philippines this November. I went to Thailand last year for several months and this year want to explore your area . I want to be somewhere that I can socialized, but not a big city. Do you feel Dumaguete would be a cost effective, yet fun area to visit. Any advice of areas to look at staying.

When you come from a foreign country, especially, the US, and come to the Philippines, you can see how fortunate you are when you see the standard of living here compared to yours. You can never be depressed about yourself here coz even though, mostly, people here are poor, they know how to entertain themselves. People here are very social and hospitable to tourists. Will make you smile and laugh. Oh yeah for sure, Filipino people knows that laughter is the best medicine.

Hi Mark, new to your vlogs. I was raised in Bacolod City, perhaps you'd been there. Had been out of Philippines 36 years, living in Southern California. Also a retired army reservist, spent 27 years with deployments in middle east. Evaluating to going back in Negros, I am worrying about safety here in the US. Violent crimes keep on rising. So may incidents were people of Asian decent had been beaten or harassed. It seems not the America I known before. Not 62 yet so not in SS pension but with VA and army pensions. Also doing online teaching, its a trade school, teaching electrical theories, codes and building electrical system. Thank you, appreciate your updates.

Like what you said man, "Don't give up!" I am a Filipino now living in Spain. But when retirement comes, I'll be back to my country and continue what I left out when I came to Spain and go back and forth to Manila and Spain. All the best Mark and stay safe always!!!
