I have so much respect and love for this band. Ive been listening to them since i was 7 and ive loved every album and song they've put out. They've gotten me through some of the hardest times ive been through and still do. I have so much memory with all these songs its crazy. And now that ive gotten older they speak to me diffrently because i now understand the lyrics. Im 17 and still love these guys. And i know they will never see this but idc. I used to listen to this song when it came out when I was in middle school and my life still hasn't started. I don't know what happened. Addictions takes the years and burns them up in some conflagration of self-sabotage and self-hate. I'm 29 now and I swear I haven't accomplished anything at all in my life yet. I haven't had a gf in over 5 years, I haven't had a job in years, I haven't been back to school to finish my degree, and I mostly just drink, smoke and take pills to make the pain of what a colossal failure I am go away. Listening to this song and this band back when I was a kid I would never have imagined I would end up here. Each day is just one more day I don't work up the nerve to kill myself even though that is what I really want to do. Soon I'll be 30 and I don't feel a day over 19 in my mind but my body is starting to give out on me from all the hard living, alcohol, drugs, and constant depression and anxiety. So in my mind I'm 19, in actuality I am 29, and in my body I'm going on 50. I really don't know how much I have left in me... I'm so sick and tired of trying, and I'm so goddamned tired of my reflection in the mirror...
