Oh my, this was a full week of cooking and using items in my pantry. I have been trying to use the oldest items first. Because of that, the pizza crust in my freezer could have been better but the pork I canned in 2019 was perfectly fine.
Here are some links of videos that were touched on in this video...

Rendering Tallow... • Rendering Tallow 2 Way...
Recipes...
‪@FarmhouseonBoone‬ Granola Cookies (so good!)
www.farmhouseo...
Potato Soup...sugarspunrun.c...
"Fronch Toast"
Ingredients:
1 loaf French bread, sliced in 1/2" slices
1/2c soy coffee creamer or rice milk
1/2 c soy milk (I used almond milk for both of these items)
1/4 c chickpea flour
3T vegetable oil (used in pan)
Directions:
Mix above ingredients except for oil. Whisk thoroughly. Heat oil in skillet or griddle. Dip bread slices in liquid mixture and cook in oil. Should be lightly brown and crunchy. Top with pure maple syrup or honey.
I hope all is well if you are doing the pantry challenge. Anything you do will be great! It is trying that makes you grow!
Blessings to all of you,
Penny, and Elsie Mae

Wow lots of snow! I just love your recipes, all of them. The potato soup was so different adding the potatoes later. It looked amazing. Your grandchildren are beautiful! Going to try the Fronch Toast for our son who has food allergies. Thank you! Val C ❤️🙏🏻

Thank you so much for your kind words! I love the smile on your face in the picture. All of my viewers know what I look like but I rarely know what you look like. Thanks for putting your picture up. As far as the baking sheet, I’m not sure which one you’re talking about. The one that I made pizza in? The one I made the pita on? Or the big metal ones? I would gladly share. I’m just not sure which one. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting and I can’t wait to hear from you again! Blessings! 🤗😁

One way that helps me with potato storage is just taking any sprouts/eyes off very regular. Even weekly if necessary.

Thanks so much for watching and I will try to get that out in the next couple weeks. I was thrilled to find the recipe and they are so good. We only have about four left. I did give some to my friend that we had coffee with, but Mark and I have been eating them Almost every night. They’re so good! Blessings! 😁🤗

Mrs. Penny! You be careful out there shoveling snow! That scared me! We also got about 13 inches, then 5 days later got another 4 inches. Beautiful, but such a mess to dig out of! I'm really interested in trying to make sourdough, so I'll be on the lookout for the banana bread video. I loved the pita bread and your audible joy at watching them puff up! Stay safe and warm!😊

Hello sweet Jen! I was very safe and took breaks while I was out there. I am used to hard work but usually during garden season.😜. I hope you do get into sourdough. It is so much fun. Everything you see on Instagram and things like that are making sourdough bread, but there are so many other things you can make that are so easy. This bread is one of those. The pita was fairly easy as well. I will have a video up Wednesday on making the Banana Bread and hopefully next week making the pita. 😁 Thanks so much for watching and for your caring comment. You are a blessing! 🤗

Thanks so much, Sonia! I had not made it snow cream since my kids are little and my oldest daughter is 41. So it took a minute to remember how but they absolutely loved it! Oh, even as I’m typing this, I just remembered I still have the bowl in my freezer with some in it. Maybe they’ll want some the next time they come back in a few days. ❄️ thanks so much for watching and for commenting and I can’t wait to hear from you again! 😁🤗

Penny!!!! BE careful shoveling that much snow - it is a beautiful, white, peaceful covering but it can harm you! That's a lot of work. Neither of you two should shovel that much but I don't know the alternative - LOL. I just want you to be around here influencing me for years to come and need you to be very mindful! Love you and your cooking, always learning new things - never heard of chick pea flour. You brighten my day and my tummy - my taste buds were so excited when I sat down with coffee to watch you.

Oh Mary, you are so sweet! I’m an old tough bird and it wasn’t too bad doing that shoveling. I took a break. We actually just came inside from finishing the circle drive. We did a tag team work on it. We’re supposed to have temperatures in the high 40s on Thursday and Friday so I’m hoping since we got the 14 inches off the driveway. It will melt down and be ready for Saturday. I have a fermenting class and I’m afraid I might have to cancel it if the Driveway doesn’t clear up well. I am so very glad that your taste buds were excited during this video! I hope you found something new to try like “Fronch” toast! It really is the best. It’s so light crispy and crunchy. I like my waffles and my French toast to have a crisp to them. I hope I am around influencing you for years, my sweet friend. And eventually, who knows, we might actually get to see each other. Much love to you, sweet friend! 🤗😁❤️😘☃️❄️

Hi Penny. What a great video, so much fab stuff. The pitta bread looked soo good but the biscuits looked amazing. We make scones, you probably know, which can be savoury say with cheese, or sweet with dried fruit or plain to have with jam and cream. I make the savoury ones to go with soups and stews but may have try and make these biscuits.❤ Look forward to your next video and have a great week.x

You can tailor SD to your needs. I only bake with it once every couple of weeks and keep only about 40g of starter in the frig. It’s very manageable and does not require daily maintenance.

If you wash your potatoes ( so you can eat the skin too), then let them air dry completely you can store them in your vegetable bin in your refrigerator. I tried this and it works perfectly! I also. Peel and cut some up into frie shaped put into a container and cover with water to wash the starch off. Then drain and add fresh water to cover them again. Store in fridge until ready to use…last up to a week or more as long as you change the water at least once a week. I do the same method for anyway I might want to use them: chunks for oven roasted or in stews; small cubes for soups or pot pies. This helps me not waste the potatoes and If I put them in glass jars I don’t forget them and it reminds me to use them up. 🙂
