A few noteworthy things: - he never curses - music is his therapy for a troubled life so he writes about his feelings and depression and very relatable things - The balloons he carries are his burdens that he has with him everywhere he goes - he brilliantly weaves songs together so if you go in order you'll catch the references - he doesn't care about fame

With NF, everything is connected back to the beginning. His videos tell amazing stories and are more like short films with music. If you want the full experience then start from the beginning. His music is completely dope standing alone though. There are Easter eggs building in every song and video. He mentioned in this song that he was looking for the map to hope. On his song hope he is walking around with a map. There are also call backs to characters in previous videos in that video as well. There are two sides to Nate. The beginning was dark and he wears all black. His latest album Hope is a change in style and he where and he is wearing white. The rabbit hole is completely worth going down. If you want another track that is less part of the saga, Clouds of the mixtape is amazing.

Mansion Therapy Session Perception The Search Clouds The Mixtape Hope (just released on April 7th) 2: The recommended NF journey that someone else will gladly provide you. I would but I'm at work. Then when you do that go back and give the other songs, not on the journey, a listen to. 3: Just go through his whole discography and cherry pick what catches your eye. I'm with guys in whatever toute you take. NF=Nathan Feuerstein Nate's music is like the Marvel Cinematic Universe as in all his albums interconnect. The timeline will make call backs and give future insghts of what is to come.

@@ThreeShadesofWhatever Nate (NF) has said how big of an influence Em was to him growing up. NF has kinda been in his own lane for a while and raps about real life and what he has gone through... being abused as a kid, growing up watching his mom's addiction to pills and eventually losing her before he graduated, dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, etc. People will recommend the "NF Journey" because his music does tell his story and it all connects like the Marvel Cinematic Universe but I would probably recommend checking out Lost ft. Since you did The Search, another way to start with NF is this little mini-journey, but honestly the best way is to do the NF Journey in order, and take your time with it. It will take a couple of months. Personally, I just couldn't wait to listen to his new music even though his older stuff is very dope too. You had asked me what other NF songs would be good. At this point I would do the Hope album and/or his legacy song is prolly The Search but to do that justice I would suggest what I call the "Black-Balloon NF mini-Journey" which is about 10 songs. Not every song has black balloons but they all relate to "burdens" and overcoming them. In order: Nate, When I Grow Up, Why, The Search, Leave Me Alone, Change, Only, I Miss the Days, Paid My Dues. Lost, Hope, Happy, Mistake, and Running.

Definitely gotta look back at a few of his older tracks from previous albums in order to see his progression and change over time. He is probably the closest artist i relate to the most bassd on what he went through in his younger years and how much he has evolved over the years. He has a very heavy hand in almost all of his production on beats and videos. But his most current album hope is very dope and a different side to him and alot more uplifting. But he originally put out a Christian album called moments before he started going by NF but he is a Christian and doesn’t curse in any of his songs. He talks about emotions and real stuff. He is definitely an artist yall will vibe with.

Also, it is debatable whether Eminem dissed Nate or complimented him. On the track “The Ringer” on Kamikaze when he mentions the woman sending him his old album he said if he did his old music he would be an effing recovery clone of me. An Effing or NFing. Since ‘Em is not known for sneak disses, I lean towards a backhanded compliment. If NF is a clone, he has talent in Eminem’s eyes.

@@ThreeShadesofWhatever That would be awesome and I can NOT wait to see you guys react to "Intro", "Mansion", and "All I Have" as all 3 are extremely different yet equally important songs to beginning to understand the core of NF himself as it is the perspectives of his approach, himself, and his conviction respecitively (or that's my interpretation of it at least). All the songs are important (each for their own reason, and most get callbacks in the future that you'll only catch if you've heard the song it references). NF is one of the most versitile artists out there (another similarity with Ren) though he focuses on Rap and there is a continuous, cohesive cross album connection and continunity on a level I've never seen from musical artists. You're about to have one hell of a ride... Musically, emotionally, broadening of perspectives, and introspection are all frequent stops. I look forward to seeing you all take the journey as well... NF is... He's something truly special, just like Eminem and Ren, in very similar but different ways. NF may be the only person who could *truly* battle Em and have a chance to win, but it's not because of technicals as Em would still win that, it's because of what makes NF unique/special which I can't put into words. NF = Nathan (Nate) Feuerstein and goes by NF because so many people always have trouble pronouncing his last name, however, the fanbase likes make NF stand for other things such as "No Fear", "Not Fake", "Never Fold", etc (and yes, almost always positive and you'll see why as you take the journey). All I can really say is, no matter what you think or say, at some point, you're going to hit an NF song that is going to rock you so deep and hard (and you won't expect it), connect to you in a way that your only thought will be "I get it" (in reference to why NF has the reach and fanbase he does). I've seen it happen to every time so far, and your only regret will be that you didn't do so sooner.

While yes Em is a huge influence on NF, there are some key differences in their style. Em is much more technically gifted. The way he switches up rhyme schemes and cadences, forcing words to rhyme together that normally don't is unparalleled. He is also an absurdist and infuses a lot more humor in. NF on the other hand, though far superior to the average rapper falls short in complex technique when comparing to Em. That said NF's content and message is so much more visceral and emotional . He tells a story that progresses over multiple albums. His production is cinematic and makes you feel you are at the Opera. There is a specific order of tracks that you should use when listening to NF for the first time and I highly recommend that you follow it.

You are going to get a list of songs that is called the NF journey. It's a long list. But my suggestion is before you listen to any of his new album you have to listen to Mansion Intro III How could you leave us Otherwise you will be completely lost with the new album.

My first track before I went back to was Hope, and I wasn't lost. I think they'd be fine. But "the journey" is definitely worth taking.

@@TheSyncosyou're right, they wouldn't be completely lost, but I feel like you understand better if you at least have heard those 3. But the whole journey is amazing and definitely worth going on.

I'd love to see both your reactions to songs with music videos from nf's last 3 albums!

NF is in a lane of this own. No one should compare him to anyone else. He speaks about mental health, and trails and tribulations of his life..thats why people relate to him.

"Leave Me Alone" is a sort of sequel to The Search. So, for the story, I'd suggest Leave Me Alone next. "Why" is the prequel to The Search.

This is what I call the NF Cinematic Universe. His whole catalog is like the MCU. Easter eggs that ties to another song. Do keep in mind, not all songs are rapid fire raps. Some are slow that touched the heart and inspire the mind. His music gets people thinking. So a lot of his music will be different. You have to go in open-minded.

LOL welcome to the world that is NF!! In case somebody hasn't already told you NF is his initials. I'll keep this as short as I can because you're already going to get bombarded with NF fans telling you to start at the beginning LOL but that's actually true .. if you were to listen to his new album that he just came out called Hope you would appreciate it but you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate what it's worth without going through his full catalog first. I feel like I've been a fan of his since the beginning I've listened to him for the last 8 to 9 years. You'll probably never find another hip hop artists as unique as him. (And no offense to anybody but this isn't coming from some kid that doesn't understand hip-hop. This is coming from a 47 year old guy that has never heard another artist like this before in his life!) If I were you I would start at intro 1 and go from there. There is so much content to get through but I promise you you will be so grateful you did it and your channel will greatly benefit from it as well LOL! I used to spend my time giving out of full list of his songs in the proper order to listen to but it's just too much to type out and don't worry somebody else to do that for you I'm sure LOL! Anyhow I went ahead and subbed I'm interested in seeing more of your content. Great reaction gentlemen. Stay blessed!

NF is whole vibe man. Make you continue with older NF hits first before jumping into his clouds mixtape (imo his best work) and his latest album that just dropped. The story of NF progression is what makes him so special.
