Wow, the difference in audio quality is so clear! Your older videos are of course amazing, but I really like how the white noise in this video is a lower frequency and more of a pleasant hum - it's nice to hear your voices and triggers more clearly. And of course now that you have two and have more binaural freedom, I'm excited to see what you do with them!! (Also, that jar trigger where Max moves it closer and farther from the microphone is really innovative and sounds so good, I would definitely listen to a video of just that, especially because it's such a rare trigger!) 🎤🎤🎤 Prepare for trouble...🎤🎤🎤 ...And make it well you know 🚀🚀😺 Guys the mics sound so good! I'd need to hear an A/B comparison with your normal mic to express a preference, but they both sound great! I'm excited to hear what else you come up with with the new gear ⚙ (it's a gear, idk I'm not that creative today I guess). I'd also love to hear a video where you use this new mic and the other one together, though idk how to do that without making the frequency response unbalanced between the listener's ears. But y'all are brilliant I'm sure you could figure it out 🧠🧑‍🔬🎧 Ok. I usually, strategically avoid trying to rank sound assortments bc I am but a lowly amateur mix engineer and I'm still working on picking sounds apart from each other in context. But I take this self-appointed job very seriously 🥸 and a ranking there shall be! 1. Bug Spray & Oil - From a technical perspective, these were such good textures together. The oil has those high frequencies which are mostly random, and the bug spray has that tonal sort of twang that the necklace holder did in your 150k special. They complement each other so well. Plus you can shake both of them as liquids, but they produce different sounds even then. Also, we don't get many bugs in LA, but I remember as a little kid in Massachusetts playing with that exact bug spray multipack. They sound so good 🥰 2. Owl Blanket & "Not Rubbery, They're Plasticy" Cherries - Another great combo, one of them has more transients and they hit me at different frequencies. I especially loved 19:53 with the slide. I love the like fabric rubbing sounds mixed with the tapping. Super cool. Plus I just like the purple blanket, it looks cozy. I wonder if the owl has a name... 3. Pop Filter Bag & Dry Shampoo - At 15:20 I just wrote "AWESOME" in the little notes that I keep. I really love the crinkly, almost crackling 🔥 sounds that bag makes. Plus I love the ironically liquid-sounding sounds from the dry shampoo. A cool 🔥 and ❄ sort of combo. Would love to see that used again, if you guys like those. 4.Glass Jar & Twine - I so badly want to put this higher for two reasons. Reason one, I love the mouth sounds from Parker at 13:19. He doesn't do them very often, but they were great! And Reason two, the part at 13:04 where Max moves the microphone into the glass jar was galaxy brain. The white noise was SO COOL. I just like all the triggers in this video guys, you guys are too good at this 🥲you're breaking my format. 5. Claws - I love the gloves. I especially really liked any time you pressed the glove onto the microphone, and it produced that really tinny, high passed sound like 27:27. I just wanted to appreciate the unique stereo combos today and handicapped the always favorite gloves for today's list. Sorry gloves please forgive me. 6. Makeup Brush & Plastic Grapes - These were still great. It was just steep competition today 💪. I especially liked Parker futzing with the grapes at 4:20 and Max gently brushing the mic not on the head at 2:55. Notes 1. Parker is wearing wristbands and Max isn't. Shocking 🌩Next thing we know Parker will be standing on the right side of the screen 😱 2. Y'all have so much plasticy (not rubbery) fruit you're ready to make an IN-edible arrangement 🥁🥁 [Cymbal Emoji]. I'll see myself out. I know that I always keep these positive and worry that they come across as insincere as a result, but I hope it reads as genuinely as I mean it when I say that this ranking was SO hard to do because these triggers were all AMAZING. I kept having to move things around because I kept going back through and hearing sounds that I had forgotten about. Your channel really is a unique combination of so much creativity, practiced skill, passion, and kindness that I really can't find something like it elsewhere on the internet. I would love to see more videos like this! There were so many creative sound assortments that you could really appreciate with the multiple mics. But honestly my favorite videos are whichever ones you guys are most excited to make. If that's sound assortments, if that's roleplays, if that's experimental videos, if that's single-trigger videos, if that's off-the-wall random videos - I'm happy with whatever makes you happy. You guys are on a constant climb upwards, always improving your sounds, your video concepts, your techniques, your visuals (which go underappreciated - great lighting btw, I love the variety of colors): whatever you make will be good. You really are artists and you have great instincts. What always shines most to me is when you seem to be having the most fun. And this is one of your best videos because you seemed to have a lot of fun making it. I encourage everyone to... idk, stack a stuffed animal on your head every time Max and Parker look at each other and laugh. You will have a Yertle the Turtle situation on your hands by the end of the video. Good luck balancing. I've made these super long list comments on almost all of their videos for almost a year now. It's something I do for fun while I'm listening, and I post them because people have told me they like reading them. I know my jokes are bizarre and don't always land over the internet. I know I use a lot of emojis. I know the comments are really long and I use a weird combination of big words and silly words. I know I'm wordy and overly earnest. I know that writing these is a weird level of effort for an ASMR channel. I know this response is gonna be too long. But I post these anyway because writing them makes me happy.
