Been a thrice fan for over 15 years since I was a kid. I have a thrice tattoo And Dustin is the Greatest lyricist that music has had the honor of knowing. Out of all the songs and the years this is hands down my favorite.

It's a good song. I'm assuming it's about Oil and the war in Iraq or the Middle East in general. Black honey - oil Bees - Arabs Friends and family being stung - terrorist response. Am I close? Maybe it's about consumerism driving destruction on a larger scale than just oil, like a pretty butterfly thrown away when it falls apart could be like an aging Hollywood star or something, but that seems... like a weird perspective shift from geopolitics to entertainment.
