Much to my surprise, I ended up liking the ducks the best. It was only at the end when you were showing all the projects that I realized how cool they were. I tend to prefer neutral colors anyway. Lol - the ducks were definitely a little on the time consuming side, but pouncing the paint on is a rather therapeutic process, so that helps! :) Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked them!! :) Dark wax is a solid, creamy wax and works really well with clay and chalk based paints. Dark oil wax is a liquid and is great for sealing milk paint.

Thank you!! :) And I think that you would need a crackle medium to get any sort of crackle effect with chalk or clay based paints. :)

Love the risers! Did you use bond in the milk paint? You have said in the past that you always use it. Just curious... And...is it gloss spray paint or any spray paint?

Glad you liked the risers! And if I ever said that I always use bond in every situation, I totally misspoke. I use bond to achieve a solid finish when I want one, but I also skip the bond when I'm trying to achieve other looks - as in this case. :) So, to answer your question - this is one of the scenarios in which I did NOT use any extra bond, lol. And I get as close to matte as I can with the spray paint that I use for base coats. That being said, some colors only seem to come in satin or gloss (like the dark brown I like to use) so I will use satin sometimes and it seems to work just fine. :)
