The green in Moss Agate is actually Chlorite inclusions. Montanna Agate usually has black inclusions caused by manganese oxide and/or red caused by iron oxide

My mom still has her penguin ice container. She sometimes would use it to keep things cool in to take to church suppers. She would always put a couple rubber bands hooked to the handles and criss-crossed over the top to carry it. Good memories!

If you could hit the textiles area first, you might find a quilt or blanket that you could use to line the bottom of the shopping cart. Prevent / reduce chipping, rattling, or other undesirable fraternization of the breakables.

I know what Andrew's big find is! I noticed he didn't want to take his hand off of it when he squatted down to look in the case. I don't blame him at all! He cracked me up singing 'Ring My Bell" -- I was kind of afraid about the music since he sounded so close to the real song! Hahaha! Jocelyn, the lamps and the glass figurines were fantastic! When I was growing up we used to have 2 of those boudoir lamps which I loved. I played with the crystals like they were fancy earrings. Ooh-la-la! ( I hung the wire around the top of my ear. Hee!) Man, I wish I knew where those were now. I need to look in the basement! You guys had an excellent shopping trip. Can't wait for the haul video tomorrow!!

The cross charm is a crusaders cross. I was given one when I was in third grade from our Jewish neighbor. I had asked her to help me write a school paper on Hanukkah. She ended our lesson by giving me her cross. I cherish it to this day!

I hear you. Its rare for me to hit a fifty percent off day. It stresses me out moving around all the people. I found a 40’s 50’s vintage driftwood lamp with the original shade yesterday $5!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 it was at a tiny rural resale store across from a post office I dropped some of my shipments off at while traveling. Its the perfect piece for someones cabin. Don’t think I can part with it though. 🙄 I cant believe you found that Audubon book for $10!!!!!

Just a pointer, I sometimes just grab a large sweater or small blanket in lay it down at the bottom of the cart when I know I will be shopping for ceramics/ glass just to protect them from breaking.

You stick the little lights in from the inside ,take the bulb off ,then stick the back up to the holes and then stick the bulb back in it's pluggy thingy. That's a glass caddy we used to have one.

Jocelyn - instead of using plate hangers (which often will cause cracks because of the pressure of the springs), get command strip hoops and use them. They stick well, and will come off later if you decide not to hang the plate.

Great haul. Love the little bird. My aunt use to collect birds and loved owls. She had a set of huge owl lamps in her living room. When she passed i received an owl necklace that she enjoyed wearing. Just a piece of inexpensive costume jewelry but it brings back fond memories.

I bought that same ice bucket for my sister a couple of months ago at thrift shop. Along with a shaker that you can "dial" to get the recipe for various drinks. I think that ice bucket is adorable with those penguins slouching around it.

I used to collect cystals bells, they where strangly lost during a mov those glass bulls by your bird where plants soakers, you fell them with water and stick them in your plant, Wala, your plant Waters itself they are nice to have if you have plants.

Andrew bringing the whimsy! 😂 I can’t wait to see the haul for both videos! I’ve been practicing my skill at identifying by going on Facebook market and researching the items I like. I also try to guess what you will pick up as you walk by the shelves. I’m rarely right! I just wanted you to know that I’ve had a very tough year. I got sick and developed seizures and had to resign from my teaching job and am not allowed to drive. It’s lonely and boring but your videos have given me something nice to look forward to. I can see myself building a collecting and possible resale hobby. I sold my first thing on EBay for a whopping $2.70 and I’m pretty proud. Anyway, thanks for doing what you do and making it fun.

The Wreck Atocha that is awesome! I have a piece of jewelry my son bought me years ago and I love it! The story of the wreck is something I researched years ago and was very intrigued with it. We took a dive trip to the Fla Keys, we went thru the museum. So amazing!

OMG!!! That clear plate with the ridges on the bottom shelf - at minute 5:02 - is (I believe) a full sized dinner plate in the clear Queen Mary patterned depression glass. That is literally one of my unicorns that I've been trying to find for ages. My mother-in-law has a set and she served Thanksgiving dinner on them a while back - but two of the plates cracked when the super-hot oyster stuffing was served. It broke her heart. :( So my husband and I have been on the hunt for them ever since. There are GOBS of the bread plates and salad plates, and massive amounts of the pink pattern in dinner plates. But the clear dinner plates are incredibly tough to find.

I was able to find a broken chandelier at a garage sale and I salvaged all the crystals off of it.. Well worth the $15 I paid for it.
