Next weekend, I'll be driving to NJ to meet up with Pete Schichtel and Tim "Ringy" Saylor for some digging at the top-secret button dump. I decided to go picking for a little hotel money... and I may have stumbled upon my best pick ever.

Please note that the reseller market does fluctuate. Depending on the age of this video, the values of antiques and collectibles quoted in this installment may be out-of-date and no longer relevant. Enjoy with caution.

After the 'American Picker' craze was over down here in Texas, the Goodwill and Thrifts stores that were banking on it then with high prices, have fell dead now. Their prices are so high that I dont even go in them as I once did. You must have better luck up North. Good Vid and Good Luck...

Hello Crazy Lamp Lady, I wanted to give you some recognition today and to share a coincidence that just occurred to me at a Goodwill. I watched this video a while ago, but your statement at 5:20 about the Starbucks mugs stuck with me. I was perusing the shelves today at Goodwill, and then all of a sudden I see a Starbucks glass bottle with Atlanta on it. I swooped it up! This will be my first time trying to resell something that I have thrifted. Thank you for the small adventure.

I grew my hair long for my DH who wanted me to start wearing my hair in French Braid(s).....He passed away WAY before my hair was long enough to braid....but I love the look of the French Braid, and although I am over 60 yrs old, I get a lot of compliments on my French Braid(s). Holy crap! I will never walk by the lamps ever AGAIN. I have some serious homework to do. I have been thrift picking since April 2018; but never payed the lamps much mind. I have seen some of these types of lamps. I looked on Ebay and those little Murano mushroom lamps sell for some quick cash. I have seen them plenty of times - but never thought they were worth anything. There was one particular thrift store close to Washington DC that had tons and tons of vintage lamps. Now they are out of business :( When I think of all the money I probably passed up, it makes me sick to my stomach.. But NEVER again. I never realized lamps could be worth this much. I will report back with what I find! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I have noticed that the thrift stores are now starting to research the donated items that they think are worth money.. I live in Batavia NY and I go to the salvation army a couple times a week to treasure hunt, and they just got a new piece of vintage furniture donated.. I don't know to much about furniture But it's an art deco stand.. they have a price tag of $2500 on it.. it's been sitting there collecting dust, but it amazes me that they can put such a price on something that's been donated.. Not to mention it's a none profit organisation.. But no matter it's the fun of the hunt I enjoy..

I wish I had your knowledge of glass. I get a bunch when I go to the auction and never know what any of it is so it ends up sitting in my store til the right buyer comes along. I actually stopped buying glass and switched to buying electronics and bulk books. Books are pretty self explanatory. I hour over 3500 a few months ago at a thrift store going out of business auction for 14.50. Already made about 40 times that. Many were common books but there were surprisingly quite a few golden nuggets in there.

Hmm, I have a box of those Starbucks City Mugs, mostly from my travels outside the US. Guess I'll dig them out of storage.

Again, I enjoyed your video, but you move too fast. You need to slow down a bit. Also, the amber Carnival glass plate was celebrating the USA Bicentenial. Did you catch that because it may have made you a nice profit. Of course, you are too young but I was around when we celebrated it and it was awesome. I had an entire 8 pc. set of china that was sold at a supermarket (a different piece each week for a dollar a piece I think) and I used it and of course, broke over the years. All I have left is one dinner plate and I think a creamer. I wish I still had it. Your videos have inspired me. I am a collector and used to go to the flea markets when I was well and could walk. I need to start selling things because all my stuff if nice, no junk at all. My husband says that if he sells everything I own at a $1.00, he will be rich....LOL!
