On the cold rainy days you can start on building your cabinets as long as you have the dimensions. You can build them in your parents garage and just move them to the site to install. Also there is puddy made especially to fill nail holes. It's much easier and not as messy as caulking. The most important thing about the puddy is it is stainable and printable. Sometimes with caulking it cracks if it hasn't dryed and set up enough it will crack. It's is little fine cracks and most time you can fill the cracks with paint but not everytime. With the puddy you just scoop out a 50 cent piece play with it for a few to warn it up and go along just like you did with the caulking. The puddy also comes in most stain colors so when you have days you can paint or stain you can get the nail holes on a day when you can't paint or stain. You really are doing a wonderful job with your new home. Keep moving forward and before you know it you will be living there.

McKenna please make sure you get cabinet grade wood. There is a difference. Even plywood for the boxes of the cabinets ( like the 3 sides, sides and back) the finished results is worth it but you cannot buy that grade of wood at big box.

You should get an extension rod for your sprayer. It helps a lot. You can get them at Home Depot. The paint pros suggest 36" but I went with a 24" one because it was easier for me to wield since I'm only 5'3".

Your not crazy about being obsessive on calking the nail holes in the siding. First of all they should have reset their nail gun pressure to make it more flush with the siding. Second of all water can sit inside those holes and cause rot. When we had our home built on one side of our home they sunk the nails pretty deep. I had them calk them in for me. They knew they messed up but were very nice and fixed the problem. So you did good. 😎😎

I just had to comment on this one because that weird handled clamp thing that lookes like a comb at 10:59 is for thinly slicing eggs for a salad...my grandma used to have one...and I think my mom has it now..its hard to find them made out of all metal. Now they are mostly plastic. Thanks for a great vlog and sending me down memory lane with the egg slicer. :)

This thing what looks like a comb or something for ice, is a meat tongs. You can hold a hot piece of meat and can cut it in slices as one side is open.

I totally get the caulk gun thing, I never used one before but last year I filled some small holes in the wall that bothered me and then found new ones again and again 😂 But in the end what matters is that you've done it in the right way for you from the start so that you don't have more work at the end because you can't unsee the nailholes you forgot.
