Great finds. Creative ideas are nice. Thanks for sharing. In Printing, we call this tool a Baren . You can also use it directly onto the back of your paper which is laid onto the stamp. Some printers add a sheet of parchment paper when printing onto thin paper (think rice or mulberry) to ensure the paper does not tear. This yields that old time embossed/Letterpress printing look. I love that look. I studied Printing in School and Etching/Woodblock. This is what I use for my hand carved stamps, tiles, and woodblock prints which I use when making cards, gift wrap, bookmarks, gift tags, etc. Love how you found ways to create Barens. Traditionally Bamboo Leaf Covered Barens, as well as those similar to furniture moving sliders work very well. I made one with the carpeted sliders as well. The furniture moving sliders for carpet and those for hard floors gives variety to your choices when using your baren directly on the back of your paper. A good source is to look at woodblock printing to learn on their use and on how to register your prints to add multiple colours and to also reprint if need be. So many great finds you have for future projects. Again, thanks for sharing.

TFS all the goodies you found! You have some true treasures. The tea cup and unusual paper clips will be a nice addition to your desk. You made me decide to shop my home for items I can use as a Chuckie tool. I also love tape measures and have always used small bits of them in cluster making but I never thought about edging the page of a book with one. Maybe I was just hoarding LOL! 🐝🐝🐝

I live in the states, and I didn't know either! Watch her other video which she refers to at the end of this video - she did a DIY Chuckle tool. It's to help add pressure when using a stamp positioner, but I am having trouble describing it - lol. Then read the pinned comment to hear how/why the first Chuckie tool was made.

Gina K was doing a video and apparently mentioned that it takes a lot of coordination +/or hand pressure to use a stamp positioning tool, and one of her viewers, named CHUCK, made her a wooden tool to use. So everyone calls it a Chuckie tool now.
