Make your own stamp chuckie, stamp glider, barren tool. This is a tutorial video. Giveaway is CLOSED.
Check out my friend Tracy's version from the dollar store:
• Make your own stamp ch...
I am told Chuck Meadows made the first one for Gina K. Here is a video of her mentioning him:
• Stamp and Chat - Whims...
I am not selling these. This is for personal use only. There are many different versions on Etsy. This is only one of many ideas I have seen. You can find retailers on Etsy or use an air hockey handle.

Someone probably already told you but Gina K has a friend lamed Chuck who made the first one for her. She named it the Chucks Tool in his honor. It was a hit with others and they asked him if he would be interested in making and selling more. He wasn’t interested in doing so. Instead, he told everyone how he made it so they could make their own or get someone to make it for them. He did recommend usingwhat you did - the pads used to move furniture. He used a furniture finial for the handle. I think your idea is inspired and I now wish I collected Yankee candles!

Thanks for explaining. I’ve been out of the loop, since I’m on a buying freeze and I seen a video with one of the ladies I usually follow and was wondering the story of how this came about. And so cool that he shared how he made them, I can’t wait to make these as gifts.

Oh my gosh, that’s exactly the way I made mine about four weeks ago. I also made one for my mom. I used a glass candle jar lid that is a little bit wider and flat. I think it came from a jar candle from Walmart. Then I went to Lowe’s and got the furniture sliders, but I got the circular ones that are slightly bigger than the candle lid. . I put the black, slick, foam side down and used E-6000 glue to glue the glass candle jar lid to the top. It works like a dream and I am getting much better stamped impressions and not hurting my wrist so much, as sadly, I am starting to develop a little bit of arthritis. I am giving one to my mom for Mother’s Day. I think mine cost a total of four dollars and that was for the slider pads from Lowe’s. Do not buy the slider pads that have the white plastic bottoms; those are for moving furniture on carpet and are the wrong kind. You want to buy the ones for wood floors.

Hi Nancy. I am so glad you made a video for this tool. I want to make one but I don't know how. The closest town that would have any supplies is a 1/2 hour drive for me & I don't own a car anymore lol! I think this is an awesome tool for people like me who have arthritis. I also have neck & back issues from a car accident I had at 15.. Pulling & pushing make them hurt so I think this would be a great tool to have. I'm 55 & way too young to have this kind of issues with my body! Watching your happy mail, I'm loving the hello card with all the rainbow foil on it that somebody sent you along with some paper to try. Wow! It's spectacular!

I don't have one. I saw it on Cathy Zielske's KZbin and I have wanted one ever since because it is a grand idea. I believe her friend, Debbie made it for her. Having arthritis, I was impressed when Cathy said it was great for her hands. And, what a great preventive for the younger set. Thank GOD, I just came into possession of a top, like the one you used. There was no bottom, it was in some junk someone was throwing away and I picked it up with the thought, "Huh, what can I use this for? " Well, I didn't know, but now I know. I am blessed! Thank you for this great idea and all the other DIY ideas you pass on.

I've been using an Air hockey paddle. I like this idea. I just decluttered and threw out a couple of those lids. I know I have a few more somewhere. For the glitter inside, nail polish will be less messy than glitter. Dollar tree has a huge assortment of glittery polish. Then use a top coat of clear.

If you apply the glitter nail polish to a cosmetic sponge and dab it onto your surface (in this case the glass, but it definitely works on nails too), you can get a much more uniform application of the glitter!

I’ve thought of it as an “extra”. However, the more I see them being used on videos, the more I consider it. I've been planning on trying to make one but I have no jar candles. When I first saw these being used, I thought it was a great idea because it is hard to get even pressure sometimes. I even looked at these on Etsy and they were too much, especially when I knew how easy it would be to make your own, IF you had a glass lid. I didn't have anything that worked and didn't want to buy a glass jar and lid just for the lid, so I just started using a dry board eraser, but I would love to have one that's all sparkly and glittery and I absolutely loved your idea about putting beads or something inside. I would like to try glitter and shells. Funny fact, I even emailed Sweet Petunia, makers of the MISTI to see if they were going to create their own version, they said probably not. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win a little DIY kit. I had not thought about the felt for furniture, so thank you for that little nugget.😉

How very clever! I am gonna have to make one of these. I just taught a class to the girls in our youth group at church this past Saturday. We made lovely Mother's Day cards. I used my Mini Misti...and we all found that we had to press soooo firmly to transfer the image. This will come in mighty handy in the future. I'm old, but don't have arthritis. Just find it rather tricky to press as firmly as I need to for some stamps. Thanks so much for sharing this. I just might have one of these candle lids in my stash. :-)

I have been looking at these since I saw it on a Gina K video but I am on a strict budget so couldn't afford to buy one.

What a great idea! I was just going through my moms stuff and she had a bunch of theses lids as she bought pretty toppers to go on her candles & wasn’t using them. I sure wish I would of seen this video about a month ago, although I did tell my daughter what could these be used for I guess I didn’t have my crafty brain on that day! I seen someone use a door knob this one would be prettier & easier on the hand. Thank you for sharing. I would definitely use one

I can see how a "chuckie" would help prevent hand strain and arthritis pain. Yes, I want one.

I had never seen one of these before and now I've seen several KZbin crafters like you use them. Seems like a great idea. I actually thought of making one but didn't know what to use. Thanks for the tutorial and giveaway!

I purchased one at Christmas time on Etsy. I absolutely love it. It makes my crafting on the misty so much easier. I have arthritis and it cuts down on the pressure that I have to apply to the stamp. Thank you for showing me how it was made. I might like to make a few of those for some of my crafty friends.

I like your idea of making your own. I have seen these, but never felt the need. I do have to stamp and press hard with a few stamps so this tool might help with those. Thanks for sharing!
