Oh I'm so glad. That little extra is actually Art Deco and date to the 1930's made in Germany. I knew you would love him! I'm also sure you understand fully what I'm trying to convey in this video. I love my viewers and their comments but it's important to remember that you and I have a very specific focus when we shop for resale. If I bought every antique and vintage items that I saw every day.....I'd have enough "stuff" to fill the Baltimore Mansion.

Yes...in the little Imperial glass "breakaway" I mention Northwood instead of Imperial. The mouth was running faster than the brain. I'd also like to point out what appear to be a "crack" in the bottom of the Imperial bowl I show in the video. This is NOT a crack. That mark is called a cooling mark which is a string-like inclusion in glass caused as the hot glass cools. It's often erroneously called a “straw mark.” That is a common type of slight imperfection found on older glass. It has no effect on the value. It can be difficult to tell the difference between a crack and a cooling mark unless you have had much experience and years of handling glass up close and in person. I'd like to thank the "old time" collectors who taught me the difference well over 30 years ago when I was a young collector just starting out in the business. Yes....I was age 19 when I sold at my very first antique show and I started going to flea markets and auctions with my great uncle when I was 10. I have so many fond memories of family and friends long gone who taught me so very much.

This is your business, Mr Scott! I understand cuz of my past in the LUXURY BUSINESS. Sometimes people don't understand the resale business, and think you are Macy's. I am so jealous of your thrift store content. I never see that much good stuff around here. The better stuff usually gets put into a antiques section for higher prices. Like this format, Scott, very informative. I always enjoy your comments as I learn so much. Loved the purple candlesticks, three oddballs is a collection! I often picked up singles to mix and match for an eclectic look and examples of same. The varying heights of 3s, such as brass or glass, look really nice in an asymetrical setup on the mantel. But I'd leave that tree for Halloween, LOL! TFS.....😄

Sleestaks!!! Land of The Lost was one of my favorites! Those kids on that tree may be creepier than the sleestaks. Yikes! It is amazing to me how much vintage and antique are in that thrift store. I'm in Houston, the fourth largest city in the US. I can barely find a piece of Pyrex much less in good condition or with its lid. There's just nothing really. I recently discovered Erwin Knowles on someone's video and fell in love. It was shaped the same as the dinnerware you found but a different pattern. I don't know what it's called but has a red rim. I just loved it. I'm going to find it someday, I hope. Wish me luck. Stay warm up there.

Scott, I loved your video. I just started reselling again. I had an EBay store many years ago. My parents had an antique store in the early 70s. I'm trying to educate myself. Buying trends have changed. So far I'm having trouble finding those items that sell for more. So, I buy the smaller items. But I hate taking photos and listing. So I am going to me more mindful in My shopping. Thank you, you're a great person to shop with.
