This thrift trip is so special to me because now that im a mom, life is moving SO fast. This was the first time in a long time that I got to spend one on one time with my parents and go thrifting with them in I don’t know how long. We used to thrift together all the time and I miss spending quality time with them doing what we love most…finding gems for a steal and bonus points for supporting American Cancer Society’s cause.
I hope this video makes you smile and makes you feel warm inside. And if your Mom and Dad are still on this earth, I hope it reminds you to give them a call and try to spend QT with them too.

I struggle sometimes with having my parent rely on me for a lot, so when you got flustered mid video- I felt that! Thank you for featuring your parents! I'm physically disabled and I ask my daughter to go downstairs and get me shit all the time. I let her tell me no though sometimes; recently she's been saying no a lot lol. But I never want her to feel like I am a burden, or that she is my baby slave. Just know, we would rather not have to ask anyone, and being in our body sucks ass and we know you can just breeze on by with no pain, and it takes every ounce of what we have to do the smallest task and its bullshit. But yeah, I hope my daughter never feels this way, that sucks.

I would never blame my frustration on her disability or her desire and need for assistance. I also know I’m allowed to get flustered, and it can be tough to juggle my needs and hers in some moments. That’s all I meant by understanding that moment in this video. 🩷

Your Mom is absolutely gorgeous Welcome to senior life my lovely. I'll pray for your healing. My mom and I have been thrifting for about 40 years. She'll be 98 in November and I'm 67. I'm her only living child and also her caregiver. She lives with me.
