Ohhh... I didn't know Lennox did them also. Or did Lennox sell Tracy Porter pieces? But yes they can have decent resale value, but I try to look for the more "unique" pieces. I've sold some with strawberries and other similar designs and they did pretty good.

23:30 I don't know that it would have had anything on top. I think it's more of a TV lamp. The light projects up and filters through the cutouts and just looks cool when you're watching the tele and don't want a ton of light. It was so pretty. . .

I generally don't like the idea of secondhand furniture because too many things can live in there. But that couch set looked pristine - no stains, no worn fabric. I would have considered it.

It seemed almost unused to be honest. Probably came from a downstairs living room that was hardly ever used. If we'd have had the ability to get it home, we probably would have bought it. Especially since it was half off!!

It's so hard to see everything when you're filming and when we watch and scream "Hey! You missed that!" And you know you missed it because you saw it while you were editing two days later . . . 😂😂😂😂 Hey. We can't win every time. I totally understand. It's a delicate balance. It's harder than it seems. Back in the day, City Thrift was one of my favorite thrift stores. Several years ago though, they were bought out / total management change, etc. After that, they added a "Vintage" section and mark the things that they deem to be not only vintage, but also carry a perceived value on the resale market. It's fine if they want to mark those things up a bit, but it's still a THRIFT STORE where the inventory is donated. Frankly, wether they're a 501c3 or a for profit store, their overall mission should be to give back to the community. Some would say that charging higher prices would bring higher profits to their "community programs", but sadly, that's simply not the way it shakes out. Perhaps the public perceives it that way, but on the back end, well...

@@PiecesOfThePastKC84 well, so many people also blame "us" for raising prices in the thrift stores which is absolutely ridiculous and untrue. Buying something low and selling for profit is what America does. Walmart, Target, every single retailer in the freaking world. They buy at a price and sell at a higher price to make a profit. Ignorant people don't understand that. Thrift stores and the GW get donations so they don't even have that overhead spend. Yes, they pay employees and donate money to the community, but they also ask for donations at the register, charge for bags and inflate prices based on perceived value. So. . . . Yeah.
