How do you get the thrift store smell out of clothing? Cleaners?

I just wash it with regular detergent! Wool is definitely harder to get the smell out of. If all else fails - dry cleaners.

sometimes i dryel (which is a dry cleaning at home kit) or if it’s like graphic t shirts and the like i use the regular washer dryer
